So players would be allowed to ignore all service rules when they are called wrong twice?

Yes, that would not be OK.

But there is an asymetry/imbalance that I dislike. I'd prefer, in these high stakes tournaments, the checks are done automatically, and if wrong, simply called and point given to the opponent. Rather than interrupting the flow by the judge who makes mistakes, and asking and waiting for the outcome... At least I would increase the number of remaining challenges by 1 when called incorrectly.

Definitely.
Imagine if he had no TTR calls left and a judge gets it wrong by that much!?
This system is absolutely stupid imo.
As you said, check them all or check none. Call them all.ot call none.
But done call a 25° serve and pretend everything is hunky dory when you get it wrong and you've totally screwed the momentum in the match. Total farce

So players would be allowed to ignore all service rules when they are called wrong twice? No, the satisfaction is that they get to serve again, potentially a different serve. Also mentally it’s stressful for the opponent because they essentially lose a point. I don‘t think the challenge actually changed the match here.
You're so wrong here it's laughable.
No, the player doesn't get to ignore all rules but maybe stupid umpires not calling based purely on a whim should not be a part of the game.
And it definitely changed the momentum in this game. Just watch it again and it's pretty obvious.
I think the main point here is that ZQ may ultimately have won the match anyway, no problem with that from anyone. But it's a major shame that an umpire steps in with such a stupid call at such a crucial time in the match. It makes a farce of top level TT and it needs to be re-examined.

He is not wrong in critizicing my proposal, which was wrong, and written in anger ;-)

We need voices like that...

Whether or not it changed the momentum, it's hard to say, it is only personal opinion... Like with rubbers ;-)

BTW. 2nd day with Dynaryz ZGR and the usual combination BH/FH all to partners BH felt so much better than with Chintac 575... Yet, my friend likes it, for his game the Chintac (now 525) will be good... You see - just personal...

It is not the system it's the rules.

The rules must be able to be followed in a reasonable way and applied even when a 10-year-old is sitting there keeping score. 29 or 32 degrees angle.... Good lord.

Now, lets hope for some exciting quarter finals!
