I have just realised @zjkfanforever the new orange/white balls are plastic... so the Chinese Super League will use plastic balls just at the end of the season? I remember before an announcement was made that the China Super League will use celluloid throughout. I am looking forward to these semi finals even more now to see how the new ball performs with the players...

I have to say that CTTSL officials have not been very consistent about quite a few things this year. Initially its rule book announced that 2014 season will use DHS 40+ Orange/White Double Color Plastic Ball. Later, it had a change of heart and decided to stick to the celluloid ball throughout the season. Using double colored plastic ball in the second stage was only decided recently. The schedule for the second stage has undergone at least three versions. A lot of Chinese TT fans are very upset about the most recent schedule change because it comes very late and they have already arranged their vacation, bought the train ticket, booked the hotel according to the previously announced schedule.

Anyway, don't know if the new plastic ball would be a game changer and whether it would affect the player's level of play.
