sorry for dumb questions, how many players in a team will participate the individual events (I wonder men's single) in WTTC? And as I remember WTTC was held last year (2013) in Paris, then is it supposed to hold again after two years, means 2015? no?

You are right. Anyway, I think that regardless of any further matches the final 5 will be ZJK, ML, WH, XX and FZD.

My mistake guys , I was thinking that it was only one spot that the coaches will choose and after the final the rest will play another round to decide who gets the third and fourth ticket.

This tournament is World Team Table Tennis Championships (WTTTC, three T letters), which include men's team and women's team events. This is not WTTC, which include singles d doubles events.

WTTTC are held in even numbered years , and WTTC are held in odd numbered years.

2014 WTTTC wil be held in Tokyo, Japan from 28 April to 5 May 2014 . Each Teams have 5 members.

I think Fan Zhendong, Ma Long and Wang Hao will be selected by couches to complete the team with Zhang Jike and Xu Xin.

Just see Ma long vs Fan Zhendong match and it was one of the best matches i have ever seen. Probably the best performance by Fan Zhendong so far was in this match. I love Fan's style: Aggressive overload!

Well, we shouldn't forget that Ma Long got injured at the Qatar open less than a week before meeting Fan Zhendong at the trials.

I'm not saying Fan Zhendong didn't deserve to win the match but he certainly wasn't facing the best Ma Long at the table.

That's why I also wouldn't call it the best match of Fan's career, I'm sure he has had better victories over other players in their full capability.

Of course he is not unbeatable but this time he had a physical disadvantage because he got injured against Masato Shiono less than a week ago. He quit the tournament after that match to not make it worse. He had to attend the trials because it is such an important event.

You can see in the match against FZD that Ma was not happy with himself for missing some "easy"(easy for him) shots. He couldn't give his best and FZD won. I'm not saying ML would have definately won without the injury, but it is also a bit foolish to say that it was the best victory of FZD ever.
