The first day of the World Team Table Tennis Championships 2016 took place in Kuala Lumpur, with the best teams around the world fighting for their countries. There are a staggering 87 mens teams and 78 womens teams which make a total of 655 participants in 4 divisions!

There are 4 divisions, the championship division which is made up of 24 of the best teams in the world. These teams are split into 4 groups, the winner of each group go straight into the quarter finals with the 2nd and 3rd team going into the last 16.
