Two details not covered in that review:

1) I believe Mizutani is using that JM SZLC blade and I know that ZJK is not using the ZJK SZLC. That does say something.

2) ZJK SZLC is not very good once you are farther away from the table. I have a feeling the JM SZLC is probably good from all ranges.

But the video review covers the most important info.

I felt a ZJK SZLC when they first came out. I played with it for about 10 min. It had T05 and T64 on it. It did not stand out as anything special to me. It was okay. But not a big deal. I did not dislike it, but if I had it I would not use it. I have other blades I like more.

Zhang Jike defeated Jun Mizutani numerous times, so go with ZJK blade, hahahaha lol

Kidding!!!

Well, you know both are very expensive blades and both are high quality very fine, but sure you can find something else more cheaper and doing the same or better or not less than those two very expensive, in the past i was planning to buy one of those two or even both, but after some blades i feel i don't need to, so i just discarded them for now, DHS has very nice blades that can give you the speed and control even the expensive one which are nearly half the price of those two blades.

If i must choose between the two then i will go with the Zhang Jike one, the design is slightly better and handle is really more elegant over that JM reddish one, but you can't go wrong with either, and make sure to choose the right rubbers then for any.

Well I think it doesnt matter how many new blades will come out with the name 'Zhang Jike' on it, he will keep hos Viscaria.

I think the OP was asking about those two blades and didn't ask what Zhang Jike is really using, we all know he is using Viscaria but that wasn't the question.

Interesting comments from Tareq.

Better paint job.

Tareq, did you watch and listen to the video review by Dan? Because, to me, it sounded like he was trying to figure out something positive to say about the ZJK blade because it sounded like the JM blade outperformed the ZJK SZLC in almost every area.

And I really am being honest, I know a pro who described the ZJK SZLC as unplayable because he plays from back a lot. I didn't feel it was unplayable. But I didn't like it that much when I tried it. No matter how cool the handle looked.

In my club, there is someone using that ZJK SZLC, and another one is using JM SZLC, from many members testing both, almost all or most of them voted for ZJK SZLC, and in addition they liked the color or handle, so handle part wasn't the main one but it is something someone may like the design regardless of the performance, but you or Dan are not that much fan of this ZJK blade version, could be we are not giving that JM SZLC enough justice or test, but, i will apologize if my statement is not helping, as i know in the world people can't agree in one thing completely out of 2 great things, there are fans of ZJK SZLC and there are fans of JM SZLC too.

Jun Mizutani doesn't use the JM Super-ZLC himself but the "simple" JM ZLC. The difference is only the 2 thin lines on the handle (yellow for Super-ZLC, white for ZLC).
There are not so many pros who play with Super-ZLC.

True, but somehow i feel that JM started to use that SZLC in that WTTC 2015, but i am not sure about it, after all, those 2 blades very expensive are Butterfly marketing thing, i bought the normal JM and happy with the blade [soon will choose another rubbers that were taken from me and i may like the blade even more].

After more than a year with JM-SZLC, Jun was spot using both old JM and SZLC in last year's World Cup. And first spot using the new JM ZLC in last year's Tour Grand Finals. Should be the same JM ZLC in this WTTC from photos.

The ZJK SZLC has a large sweet spot and the blade isn't so good at long range from the table as you have to produce a good topsin stroke, It's hard to produce a lot of power with the blade far from the table, ZJK SZLC is fast at close range to the table. It has an excellent control, The blade is very good at short game and it has very much spin. The blade is very good when you counter topsin aswell.

What I think about the blade: It has great dwell time and produces good spin especially against backspin, It's a very good blade to use for offensive players in mid to close range to the table. It's good for hard hitters.

I would recommend using T05 with this blade, you can try it out.

My modified Kanaph would crush the daylights outta this thing (I mean the ZJK) both at the table and from distance... and I would have ample funds for numerous train rides to NYC for adventure and fresh veggie juices.

Mizutani is a very playable blade, a lot to like. Accepts many different rubbers and still shines.
