Dima vs Hugo

So I recently watched the highlights of the two going at it on here, and while Hugo looked to be like he was in the zone, Dima appeared to be in this trying-to-figure-things-out state. What was noticeable to me was how consistent Dima's forehand looked (or atleast) it did in the highlights, and how it gave Hugo trouble. But, he did make mistakes, the biggest one (to me) was his timing, swinging a little to early as if he was trying to brush the ball.

What I'm curious about is if he was still playing with the H3 or did he revert? Either way, I think him taking the time to step out and try out the h3 has helped him markedly.

He already went back to T05 quite some time ago in the ETTC 2016!

And I'm still not so sure if he really has been using H3 at the Worldcup 2016, 'cause afaik most pros usually don't experiment with equipment before or at important competitions...

it looks like a DHS rubber to me, and the fact that dima pushed alot more with his FH and also twiddle tha paddle when he was about to smash just indicate that he was using a tacky rubber. Who knows, maybe it wasnt hurricane but a special order of another brand

Maybe you guys are correct, but still very unusual that at the Worldcup beginning of october he used something different than two weeks later in Budapest at the ETTC...
Quite unlikely for a pro, but maybe could be.
But then again the racket control has been quite strict at the ETTC, so i believe the leaked list isn't telling any lies. Hence i trust that he used T05 just two weeks after the Worldcup

I guess i would have to see with my own eyes rather than judging from a blurry pic.

Well

no one can be 100% certain that he was actually using a tacky rubber, but the indications were quite clear. Many people noticed the FH pushes, different FH and inconsistency in his FH as well as the paddle twiddling. Id like to know the reasons if any change was made

Im sure dan will ask him in a future interview

Well... maybe we should keep in mind that most people only see what they want to see and I wrote that it certainly is possible, but very unlikely especially after he was registered to have used Tenergy rubbers just two weeks later...
But if he really used H3 it would be interesting to hear his reasons...

Sorry, but this seems to be quite unlikely...
I'm not so sure if Dan will get an official answer, since Dima's actually signed to Donic.
I doubt that he would even speak about using Tenergy, so to me it's even more unlikely that he speaks about H3...
It might be something else, if he asks privately, but then how would be know??
