The goon squad seems to have determined that this junior should use Pro and National equipment. And for a newer player who the goon squad would recommend a 5 ply all wood blade for learning and developing feeling, the goon squad has determined that Butterly 5 ply blades play like a piece of furniture. So, if you want a Petr Korbel or a Primorac Off- I have a blade to sell you that was made from the leg of a sturdy chair that plays just like my Korbel but with a bit more feeling.

For those of you who think I have lost my mind--well, the real issue is, I never had one to lose in the first place.

And if you don't get what I am saying, don't worry, it is an inside joke. Perhaps one or two people will know exactly what I just said. For the rest of you, the goon squad is still trying to figure out how to get out of the septic tank under the trap door at the secret hideout. Never fear. When they get out, they will be trying to get H3 National and Pro Tenergy for themselves and the goon squad will soon be after them too.

What level. Lower level, higher level or somewhere in the middle?

New candidates for the goon squad are supposed to jump off the Krooklyn bridge en mass to qualify but in fact the goon squad recruiter laughs his azz of at the dumb azz jokers jumping off the bridges and selects those with more common sense and who can keep it real.

1400 California Rating Level.

Tibhar Stratus Power Wood
Nexy Peter Pan
Nexy Kim Jung Hoon
Stiga Allround Evolution
Stiga Offensive Classic
OSP Virtuoso Off-
Nittaku Acoustic

You could use the PG7. But, any of these would be a bit better for your development. When you are closer to 1900 PG7 may be better for you than it is now. But for now the blades listed above would all be better for your development of technique than the PG7. In that list, there is one 7 ply blade. The Kim Jung Hoon. It is probably the fastest blade on that list, but it would be a pretty good choice none the less. And if it is faster than the Stratus Power Wood, it is only a bit faster.

How would you compare the Tibhar to a Stiga Infinity? Which one is comparable to the Infinity?

I've gotta be honest: the Stiga Infinity is not a good blade for a beginner. None of the ones I listed are anything like an Infinity and for good reason. A Stiga Infinity has a hard outer ply and a soft inner ply. Most blades that have a hard outer ply have a soft springy inner ply which makes sense and works well. But the Infinity inner ply is soft and mushy. I actually don't think it is a good blade at all in any way. If I wanted a blade with a hard outer ply that is good I could name dozens that are better than infinity, whether you asked for all wood or composite.

But a blade with a hard outer ply is not really ideal for someone who is 1400 level and trying to improve. All the blades listed have a soft outer ply like Limba that helps you hold the ball on the blade face and rubber longer so you can learn how to get more spin on your shots.

So, every blade listed including the Tibhar Stratus Power Wood would be better to help you progress than the Stiga Infinity in every way imaginable.

I actually think that the Infinity is one of the worst blades Stiga has made to date. And I know at least 12 people who have had the wood on the Infinity DELAMINATE because they are made badly. That means the wood plies separated. Not 1 person. Not 2 people. At least 12 different people. One person had that, had Stiga send him a second one and it happened again. I will see if I can find one of the threads where people showed photos of their Infinity blades delaminating.

Carl just told Stiga they could stick that blade where the sun doesn't shine... SIDEWAYS and hope it delaminates and splinters all over in there.

Wow Carl... don't you think that was a little harsh?

Nope. When a company makes a piece of equipment that sucks that bad and should not have got through the Research and Development department because its playing characteristics are that bad, and then they let the messed up ones that will delaminate pass inspection and they put products on the market that should never have passed through inspection, and they are using the name of a top pro like Fan Zhendong to get people to buy it even though FZD doesn't even actually use the darn hunk of junk, then slamming Stiga for putting such garbage on the market and marketing it as the blade FZD uses, THEN it is a logical response to slam the blade and the company for such BS.

Same thing has happened to my son's Infinity. He's only 9 and although he's good for his age he hardly hits like Ovtcharov so it has to be a manufacturing fault. Half the top layer is flapping about. I contacted Stiga but they just told me to go back to where I'd bought it from even though under EU law they are responsible. I've done what they asked though so we'll see what happens next. They say the test of a company is not whether you ever have a problem but by how they respond when you do have a problem. Stiga passed the buck so let's see how well Dandoy do!

Here is one of many photos of the wonderful Stiga Infinity. That should never happen to a blade that is even half decently made.

By the way, here is the link to the thread that post came from. There are more photos from other people it happened to. There is actually more than one thread with this same subject of the Stiga Infinity delaminating:
