S. Winter went to a doctor and clearly helped her ...one to think about...;)

Great match between Simon and Darko. Simon's matches are just incredible to watch. He played 7 full sets from mid-long distance, with such great consistency and incredible rallies

On a sidenote, both Simon and Bruna have been quite successful since swapping over to Andro. I think they both use the same blade too
That's because he went on vacation in Crete and visited the stadium in Heraklion😂
And Andro = 😍🥰

MS QF
Duda (9) 4-0 Calderano (2) (6, 11, 10, 7)

MS F
Calderano 4-3 Duda (7, 7, -9, 8, -9, -10, 8)

Phew! "And you really think the level of their opponents was comparable?" LOL

It took Duda 2 games to figure out what serve and receive worked against Calderano and to get used to Calderano's shot quality, path, and placement. Dropping G4 after leading 6:3 was near-fatal for Duda but he managed to find his way back in after Calderano lost his concentration in G5. If not for the home-crowd advantage, Calderano could've returned to his former self.

Oikawa, Liao Cheng-Ting and Apolonia showed the top 50 players have forgotten how to handle Calderano.

Like always, besides the German media from May this year, you now have even more people to convince.

Deutschlands Bester: Duda sieht „Potenzial nicht am Ende“ (Germany's best: Duda sees "potential not at an end")
https://www.tt-news.de/2025/07/01/deutschlands-bester-duda-sieht-potenzial-nicht-am-ende/
Roßkopf also hints at this, looking at Duda's personal best in the world rankings. "Despite all the fluctuations in the world rankings, 'Benne' is currently our strongest player and very valuable to us. But he's also a hard worker and a consummate professional who always strives to improve even the smallest details. He's on a very, very good path, and ultimately, there's no limit to what he can achieve because he always sticks with it and works hard in training."

Totally unexpected result between Duda and Hugo, even more surprised is how badly Duda dominated Hugo in the whole match.
Duda played like a well oiled German machine, cool, collected, almost error free with precision.
Hugo, on the other hand, clearly rattled with no rhythm, and lots of errors.

Cannot watch it unfortunately, since SVT has the rights to brodcast in Sweden but they chose not to. I guess they are not interested in bringing table tennis to the people contrary to their claim.

Like two days ago, when Hashimoto were about to play against Qian. They chose to broadcast some boring Wong vs Dima game that were already broadcasting on Youtube. Stupidity. Then yesterday, they were "forced" to broadcast Hashimoto since nothing else were on, and the commentator were utterly surprised that Hashimoto could put balls on the table!

Not all is bad though. The J-O Waldner side comments when they do send are priceless. For example, when Walther gave Shidong a good run he laughed and said that Anton did very very well to win a game against.
You can't watch it on YouTube???

After LJK and Hari were out, and only 1 Chinese men left in the R16, my bet was on Hugo to win this Smash. This was our biggest chance to have the 1st non-Chinese men winner of a Grand Smash event.
But now Hugo is out, my bet has to be on LSD again, lol. If LSD just plays like himself, no one else in the remaining list could be a threat to him.

Editing the domain takes you to an entirely different website which could be stealing data and run any kind of shadowy practices.

This is dangerous and is absolutely not a simple tip to be circulated lightly.

If you want to skip ads, use an ad blocker.
the "entirely different website" is also owned by youtube/google, and this way just harvests a little bit less data than under the parent url and offers a more pure way to view their video / streams.

DUDAAAAAA

After that thriller in the Star Contender final in Brazil and Duda staying in top form i thought he could be on the brink of a big win here, but in the fashion he pulled it off it's just astonishing. The Europe Smash does not disappoint on the European front, 2 in the MS semifinal, 2 more fighting for the other spots. If Truls advances his match vs Duda will also decide the new top ranked European player, only if An beats both of them Felix would stay in front. edit: i forgot Qiu could also still overtake with a final, a lot of Europeans in the mix

LSD is the favorite to win, but the remaining players are absolutely a threat to him.

I think karen said the same thing around the world
I've dealing with a few here, unfortunately.

OTOH, Claudia Herweg said something similar in late 2022. BTW, Herweg left out Winter's name in the interview even though she was part of the team.

— Let us ask you about another problem. This is not a problem particular in Germany; we have many male star players like Timo, but it is difficult to generate female stars. Do you have any idea to boost the female field in table tennis?

CH I think the Japan women’s team members, who competed against China, are heroines when they are back in Japan, but in Germany the women’s team do not attract attention compared to men’s team. I feel there are many things to be done in this regard. We need to think about not only Germany but also Europe. All in all, our target to beat China will remain unchanged, but there is a very long way to go for the women.
This is just an idea, but I think fans are interested not only in the athletic aspect but also in their private elements. Something about their hobbies and their fashion should be presented more and more so that we can reach out to the emotions of the audience.
I think the Japanese women’s team could connect with fans’ emotions because they competed against China at the final. I take it as our big obligation to present players attractively. There is a German female player, Annet Kaufmann, who is tall and good-looking. She showed a significant presence in Munich at the European Championships. I think it is important to present the personality and allurement of players. The same thing can be said to male players, not only females.

In the football industry, players such as Cristiano Ronaldo makes a lot of efforts to show himself very fascinating. I think there are many wonderful players in the table tennis world as well; I think Dang, for example, has the potential to be a star for his extraordinary playing style, his way of thinking and his performance. However, we will have to improve the presentation on the social media, we have a lot to do in this field in Germany. I hope we can cooperate with Butterfly to raise the industry.
It was good to exchange ideas with you online. Thank you.
