So here is one of my lates training videos. Not a really good session and though it is hard admit but while the current season comes to an end, my struggle to becoming a better player took its toll on me.
Im getting a bit drained and trying to overcome this by a little less training and especially more focused training. While my bh got way more consistent and better my fh got worse and less consistent which i felt quite hard today in my matches.
Overall it was a good season for me and im currently still on an all time high in terms of my TTR but my struggles became bigger and therefore i could say i kind of plateaued.

Offseason training will start soon in around 2 weeks and i am already planning out my next sessions.

Buuuuuut to get back to topic:

Here is a timestamp for my bh training in that session, which was a simple technique focused training, to hit hard and get back to keeping control and hit hard again.

Feel free to check out the rest, but dont expect my A-game :ROFLMAO:
In the end it should mainly help you see what is possible with what technique for LAC on bh.

Attached a Loki Arthur China on my FH of my Nittaku Acoustic Cpen last night, just played this evening. Sort of disappointed. Maybe I got a dud.
  • Felt very tacky and held ball for several seconds when first installed. After a bit of play the tackiness effectively disappeared. About 1-2 hours of play time on it now and it holds ball for like 0.5seconds now.
  • Arc is very flat. I struggled with this. Perhaps it is because it is so hard.
  • I expected it to be faster, only seemed a bit faster than my previous H3 (non-neo, unboosted)
  • Jupiter 3 Asia seems the most fun to play for me so far. I can produce a nice arc with it, and I feel very confident hitting it hard - it produces a super loud and satisfying crack. Even after several dozen hours of play it still holds ball for 3-5+ seconds. My second J3A was less tacky though, so quality isn't that consistent.

What TTR?
This is exactly the technique I have to use when I play Chinese rubber or hybrid on the BH, which I can, but is not my entire game. Yeah, when you brush your BH, LAC or J3 or Telson or Rxton 7 are very very good. But if you play Aruna's style, it leads to many net errors.

Almost 1700 german TTR. Crawling around 1690 currently.

Well the brushing is just one variation or option to hit the ball with it with good quality. Especially usefull over the table. Buuuuut i must say if you hit weaker shots the rubber just wont give you anything and somewhat behaves like a brick. I tested it quite some time, but simply stoped doing low and slow contact shots, they just wont do anything if you want an attack out of it.
Even if you want to brush the ball you need some more acceleration in your wrist for example.

The better option for me especially when i overall attack is to hit it harder and a bit flatter than i was used to with something like Vega Pro/X or an other Tensor.
And i have to disagree a little bit. Punchblocks or flatter shots actually feel quite fine. But still i prefer to "Lin Shidong" on my opponent. Btw both kind of shots are used a bit later in the video, especially the punch blocks.

Tried 3 sheets of LAC, they all seemed very consistent during play. But the sponge is much better and flexible. Less brittle then the first batches.

I'm still playing D09c💪

Nice👍
Yep i agree. Though i still have the same issues around the edges. I do hit them quite a lot, and after around a month i usually have the first spots where the rubber says goodbye to the sponge^^

The sheets survive for good 2 months until the lose spots go too far into the rubber and it bothers me. But im totally with that, as long as this rubber is this cheap compared to others.

I can relate to that, but Butterfly no thanks^^
Not inclined to support companies that shit those prices into the market.

Finally tried the Loki Telson 100
Got a black sheet, it has a blue sponge and felt way harder than 47°. The Sheet didn´t smell like booster, and it laid completely flat. Doesn't look factory boosted. Spin is huuuuge, throw is mid, higher than moon 12 h-. I tried it on my trusty Tibhar Samsonov Force Pro Black Edition. I thought it could be a replacement for fastarc g1 on fh. It's more spin sensitive, but also much spinnier on serves. receiving short is easier, guess because it's harder.
If the 450 version finally drops, i'd play it on bh too. 475 felt way too hard for me.
For around 20€ its a steal!
Looks like my comments werent lie about rubber

It's not new. I had one in September. From my test, strictly identical to regular LAC.
How its your opinion now about regular/pro orange sponge LAC, vs the Blue sponge LAC? A quick comparision of particularities of each one and if they were the same price which would you choose?

So here in germany our playing season ended early due to covidrestrictions at the end of last year.
That gave me some time to try some more equipment 😍 and reconsider some equipment choices.

First of all i have 2 main setups i am switching around a bit for the moment.
1. Blade: DHS TG 506x
FH: DHS Hurricane 3 OS prov (40°) boosted with 2 layers of FTL.
BH: Yasaka Rakza Z (still satisfied with it so far - thx for the recommendations on that again).

2. Blade: Yinhe Pro 01
FH: DHS Hurricane 3 OS prov (40°) boosted with 2 layers of FTL.
BH: DHS Hurricane 8 (37°) boosted with 2 layers of FTL.

The second setup was used to be my spare one, what made me reconsider the rubber-choices because boosting spare setups suck.
So some time ago i ordered Loki Arthur China and started playing with it in January on my Yinhe Pro 01.
Now several things surprised me at once:
1. Somehow my hand got used to the bigger handle of the Yinhe and now i have a better feeling with the blade of all than with my main setup. I experienced handcramps before and thought i would never be able to use it for longer than 30-40 minutes at best. Now i can play with that blade for several hours without any problems.

2. And more important my experience with Loki Arthur China (LAC) compared to DHS Hurricane 3:

I am impressed of the quality of the rubber. It is a bit less tacky than the prov Hurricane 3, but i can hold up a ball with it for several seconds.
As proclaimed by Loki there is no need to boost that rubber (though i might try it in the future).

The rubber is faster by a decent margin than the Hurricane 3. The arc and throwangle is slightly lower which forced me to some adjustments, because touchplay and slower opening-loops were a bit tricky to play this way coming from Hurricane 3.
But it is way easier to get speed from the LAC. While i have to work my ass off with the Hurricane 3 to perform a finisher or at least a really fast and strong topspin i get a way faster and harder shot with less effort. It is simply easier to engage the rubber.
In terms of spin i have some issues to judge that right now. From my feeling i dont recognize i huge difference. At best i would say the Hurricane can bring out slightly more spin in most of the shots. But my 2 opponents and main trainingpartners say the exact opposite and have more issues to block my topspins from the LAC, so i am not so sure.

With that experience i was sure i would have some issues in matches to not shoot over the table and hit more nets because of the lower arc, but surprisingly that wasnt the case. I switched several times between the rubbers in the last 3 months and i had a better feeling and overall better results with the LAC than with the Hurricane 3.

So with that i will probably switch several things for the upcoming weeks and months. The first thing is, that the Yinhe Pro 01 will become my main blade. Second i will put my Yasaka Rakza Z on that bh and third i will stick with LAC on my fh.
On top there is a Loki GTX Pro on the way right now. I will test this one too, since i am very impressed by the Loki rubbers so far.

Has anyone else tested these rubbers or have questions, just let me know.
Are you referring to Rxton 1 rubber

Regular LAC can be played unboosted until decent level. I beat until top 4% of France, that's what I call decent. LAC BS is way slower, and its arc is lower, so I needed to boost it. Once boosted, it's very much like boosted H3 (so lower arc than regular LAC, but faster). Honestly, I would play with it if it was available, but since I'm not even sure it will be available in the future, I prefer to get used to H3 and stick with it.

The me of 3-12 months ago would choose the regular LAC. It has the control I needed when I was still on a very fast learning curves (I stopped playing during 13 years, so the 12 first months, I improved until my former level). Now that I got a "proper" technique on my FH (which I had not before) and that I get better in almost all areas, I would choose the LAC BS boosted. But honestly, I would have the same results whatever I would choose. And it's also a matter of balance with the blade. Regular LAC + Yinhe 05 is a great association. LAC BS + Hurricane King acB is too.

Okay I read around 60 pages of yall poem to the LAC. IT reminds my love for ***** because it is fantastic and discountined
***** =Less attention and better chances to receive discount on nittaku shop and my sheets have around 500-700 hours and I still overspin my opponents.
I have loki Arthur Asia, loki rxton 9 37, loki rxton 7 37, tuttle g20 green and Tuttle K tulip blossom ( someone mention about crazy package )
I received them all for 10$ ( early bird buyout)
and I use Lin Jun Yu SPZLC after testing around 1000-1500 blades
I didnt change my blade which is weird because I bought 5-8 new blades .
I put 09c on fh and need recommendation which loki or different rubber I should choose for backhand.
My main equipment is Sieger PK50 on both sides but I have another LJY to try with rubbers and I really like high throw and stickness from Sieger

From rxton 7, 9, 5 and 3 none were as tacky as pk50 neither is LAC.
Yeah I read your spinsight reviews here and you compared w968 with acoustic wood.
My Black batch of sieger PK is not that tacky as Red batch. I think your opinion matters to me the most.

It's really sad that there is no replacement for it. I just compared the Pk50 and LAC in terms of blocking and the Pk50 effortlessly tamed harder top spins well, while the LAC was infinitely harder to control on these situations. The opponent can simply play hard enough to engage the LAC sponge and then it goes flying. Even though the sponge is way softer on the Pk50 I never had the situation that the power of the incoming ball would activate the sponge to an amount that is not controllable anymore.
