Forehand rubber for defender

Hallo all,
I'm searching for a suitable rubber on my forehand. I'm really not sure what to choose. So far I've decided for Joo Se Hyuk blade and TSP P1R 1 mm on backhand. The reason why I'm choosing new equipment is that my old bat was broken. I used to play with Stiga defensive wood NCT, TSP P1-R on backhand and 1,7 mm Tibhar super defence 40. However I found the forehand rubber very difficult to play topspin with. Therefore I'm searching for something better on my forehand.
I'm trying to play Joo Se Hyuk style of defence. I've been learning it for 2 years now so I'm obviously not as good as him . I also need to be able to play forehand chop away from the table and spinny forehand push.

Could you please recommend me something?

Hi. Im not a defender, but I talked with some of my partners. They told good option is Genius optimum sound or Baracuda(more difficult for u and opponent), and other spiny rubbers (not too fast, because it will jump when u try to chop), on max sponge (strange?) cause it get better feeling and more offensive values. I can suggest also Acuda wich i heard very good rubber for defenders.

I think promil has the right ideas.

Generally a modern defender wants an allround rubber capable of handling spin, generating spin when needed, and the possibility to chop.

Take a look at Victas VS > 402 Double Extra and Victas VS > 401. As per some other TT forums these are pretty good for modern defensive style.

I've used Victas 401, and I did not rate this rubber highly at all... I used it on a friends Stiga Tube Defence. The sponge was 2.0 or so. I then removed it and stuck it to a faster blade to see if it had some more gears... Nope....

Genius is the best rubber for your type of player on fh.You can play almost everything that you need,flat hits but spinny shots too

Well Tackiness D or Tackiness C (which is slower ) are good for defenders

I have just put Donic Vario in 1.7mm on the forehand of my Galaxy/Yinhe Lin Quayan 2. It is a really good affordable rubber and even at 1.7mm you can loop and do most strokes that you can with a rubber of say 1.9-2.00mm

Try the Andro Rasant Powersponge, it's really good to chop in mid-distance and to make spinny pushes

i was playing nexy demian on my fh.it is excellent.however,for the new ball,nexy has taken out demian 2 plus,so i think that will be an ideal choice.
