You must understand that for many years doubles were not so important as now. Most of top players avoid playing doubles because they wanted to focus on singles and avoid injuries.
Nowadays National associations wany to test different pairings because they are not sure who is going for olympics and who will play two singles.
But most of top players who never played doubles need more time to adapt and find a good tactics with their partner.

It's not the first German Open if I remember correctly when the live TV is almost unwatchable. Last year the angle was bad and the tables were reflecting very seriously, and now we have 20 or less fps on the TV table. And it's perfectly fine on tables 2 and 3

At least now on table 1 which is moderated they improved the angle a little bit.

I still don't know why they just don't always use this angle, the most important thing for ITTF, the banner, is still in the picture.

Nope, 720p with seemingly 15 fps is all you can get from https://tv.ittf.com/

sportdeutschland.tv had a better stream, but unfortunately they don't show the German Open.
