My inner EJ radar is telling me I shouldn't give this too much further deliberation. So one last round.

It's looking like 2x FX-S to me. Any closing arguments in favor of something else?

I would get FXP over FXS. But that is me. They both are good. :)

More catapult FTW! Fits my mindset really: I want to learn to let the rubbers work for me..

That is exactly why I felt FXP would be better for you based on the reason you were switching.

FX-S is more spinny and dynamic on the top end than FX-P.

FX-P is less dynamic, but still very controllable and spinny, however, it plays much more consistent from hour 1 to hour 400 than FX-S. After 100 hours, FX-S is less dynamic on top end and plays halfway closer to FX-P.

If the player does not have a big bat speed, that player may never realize even half the potential of FX-S... for such a player FX-P is more linear and stable/safe.

Karis M is stable, even more so and lasts even longer. You can get FX-P for $40 a sheet and Karis for $50 a sheet. Karis lasts forever, so it is a wash on money value played per hour pretty much. All depends on what you want, any of those 3 rubbers can work good and for the number of hours you play the rubbers, all are a good value.
