actually the HL5 isnt the same size as all HL5s, there are two sizes with the newer one bieng smaller than the old as they were based off different sized pro baldes(was it w997 and w968 or smth) i belive the B2 is the same size as the new smaller headed one.
Yes, i know about size of new HL5. new size is smaller than old because of weight of the blade. smaller size - lighter weight.
W997 and W968 both has a big size of blade.

I have a an h3 neo, and i like it much. But I tried H8 and that's the one I'm using now because i find it having better control than h3 neo. :)
That was a joke... phrase from Matrix movie ;-)

hahaha. ok, i got it! ;)

If the b-2 performs the same like L5, I'd go with the B-2. I like the Red handle (not as attractive to dirt like the sky blue handle of the L3 and L5), and of course, the $50-70 tag price! I'm not concerned about the b-2's top ply hardness not that it's faster than the L5, But the control and the arc (that I love about the L3). I still don't have a lot of feedback regarding the B-2.

First of all: Carbon blade will never(at least in nearest future) have the same control as pure wood blade.
At second: FangBo carbon - not the same as an old good HL5 - because the head size, FangBo has a small head size. That would definitely affect on the play.
At last: you do not see many feedbacks because that is a new blade on market.

Buy it, try it, tell us about it, write a review - that will be very useful for all of us i think.

I'll think about it. anyway, you mentioned the head size of Long 5 being bigger. Is HL3 and 5 same in head size?

I saw another series of blades Nittaku/DHS Ma Long 5 and Ma Long Carbon. Do you guys have knowledge about those blades?

According to the link below, Ma long carbon and ma long 5 are nothing like the ones produced by DHS. They just have the same design and name. But the composition is different which will play differently. Be careful when considering if you want to purchase these. Proabably just a marketing thing

thanks for the info. :) So, by using your b-2, would you consider it better, same or a bit lower compared to Long 5?
i've only hit breifly with a long 5. i own a long 3. it's basically identical there are maybe a couple of differences. Firstly the handle is not conical flare is more oval flare. secondly the sanding isn't quite as high quality thirdly theyre 5 grams lighter. but for me not worth the extra but if you want to feel like you got the number 1 blade and have the money get the HL5, if you lust for it you'll get one at a later point anyhow.

I might consider the b-2 because of its performance to price ratio, plus i love the color red better. haha.
So, the handle of the B-2 is thicker? i have a big hand, so i find my pg13's handle small for me.
Secondly, sanding not of quality, but i can just sand and prepp it before gluing rubbers on it. right? or would it damage the blade and handle's paint and all?
And lastly, b-2 is 5gms. lighter, but you can still buy it heavier (in 90gms), right? how may gms is your b-2 blade?
