How to Glue a Domed Rubber?

can anyone help?
i have been having a hard time gluing my H3neo on my blade because it curls up

Make it straight and pull it with hands then put something on it and hold some time, it should help in getting it little bit better

I would advise to put a couple coats of glue on the sponge with some extra near the edges. Glue like normal, but use a PRESS.

Don't have one?? MAKE ONE! All you need is a couple sturdy pieces of wood, some holes drilled in them, and some long bolts with wing nuts. I recycled an old Army In-Box paperwork tray to make mine, since it had some felt glued on it already, which is good for the side with the rubber.

Leave that joker in the press 30-60 minutes and that thing is as good as cement glued.

You could also buy the Yasaka Clicky Press, it works good.

As a last resort, you get a few huge books you don't use, like an encyclopedia (Who uses those things anyways?)

You lay one volume of big book on table, set a piece of clean paper over each side of the rubber, set another book on top, set another book on top of that, then add more weight on top, like another 10 volumes. You need another 10 KG. You could also put a 20 Litre water can on top of the two books. That works great too.

You get the idea. It works a lot faster than it looks. Heck, you gotta spend some time packing your bag and texting your friends to come to the club while your glue job gets finished anyways, so what the heck?

You save a lot of time with the Klicky Press from Yasaka. You put the thing in th press, clamp it down, toss it in Ur bag, and off to the TT gym. Job is usually finished by the time you get to the TT centre anyways.

What should i do, i glued my boosted h3 on but the edges were curling off and wouldnt even stick so i peeled off the rubber from the blade i think i messed up. Whay should i do from here

you don't. you will never be satisfied, even if you glue properly the dom might cause a bubble or glue unevently. That's why for h3, after you boost it properly and stick it on your racket you never touch it again.

Discard your current rubber.


If you are referring to freshly boosted dom rubber then just glue it with no15. 1 or 2 layer on racket, 3 or 4 glue layer on rubber. Stick it, when you cut it don't cut that close to the wood, else the edge of the rubber will peel off. leave a tiny bit of rubber because it will shrink and fit perfectly.

discard my current one? For me, thats not really an option

Since my rubber glue layer was not good, i peeled it off along with the 2 layers of booster. Will this affect the booster, should i reapply booster? Or just glue as is and see how it is
