its called "sense of the distance" and "sense of the ball/arc of ball"
if you practice enough, surely you should have good sense on what is going on.

This is like you now asking, "I am going for a wide forehand shot, how do I know if I go wide enough or not".
or another question like "I going into the table for a short ball, how do I know if I go in deep enough or not".

Its all sense. Just like walking on a straight line....

so just maybe the 300 will make your sense come out, than oppose to assuming one can read to build up senses

See this video which shows the blade angle changes during the chiquita or the over the table BH loop. You can see how this closed to open transition helps to lift whatever backspin is on the ball together with the body and legs, and then you just followthrough forward clockwise after making contact. Even better to just study it in detail and copy it. Basically once you get the concept there is no such thing as a serve that cannot be attacked unless you are late to the ball. Half long is not a problem if you can even directly attack short balls with confidence.

has he practiced 300 times yet!? is he practicing at the moment or is he thinking about posting another topic?
