Well you're choosing some great players to look after. Wang Hao, Timo Boll, and Ma Long are very much like their predecessors. Wang Hao is a combination of Ma Lin and Liu Guo Liang. Timo Boll was coached by a Hessian and Chinese mix that adjusted his styles to perform better against other Europeans and the Chinese. Ma Long of course has similar traits to those of Wang Li Qin with perhaps much better variation on both wings. Zhang Ji Ke is clearly the successor to the Kong Ling Hui style as well as Zhang Chao currently coming up in the ranks.

Who doesn't want to be like them? xD Everyone wants to have the abilities like the professionals, and it definitely does not sound stupid, because that is the exact aspiration that I have; to be like Ma Long, Timo Boll and Zhang Jike

I want to be like our club ace. He has the best footwork and when he goes to tourneys, he simply wins, whether ti is 3-0 or 3-2 at duece. Unfortunately, even if I train the same intensity, I will not be able to approach but maybe up to within 100 USATT rating points of his playing level of solid 2300. Maybe I can be content to become kinda like him.

On the one hand you have Ma Lin: great footwork, tactics, knowledge for the shots and sport, experience, wisdom
and on the other hand Zhang JK: youth, power, muscles, no fear, a winner-type, still a good guy, likes his fans

in my opinion the perfect combination
plus maybe Maze for his ball feeling and improvisation

I would replace the forehand with either Ma Long's or Zhang Jike's - than it would be perfect!

Ma Long and ryu seung min have power forehands, like to end the point quickly. But Zhang Jike has a more controlled forehand, not really like ma long or ryu.

I would say that Xu Xin has the best footwork, that's why he has fast plays.

Although Ryu Seung Min on his peak (around 2004) when he also won the olympic games, still had amazing footwork, it's true that Xu Xin has nowadays the most amazing footwork!
