Hey guys! I got the chance to test all three of the new DONIC Coppa E rubbers against Flavien Coton. They’re around €40 a sheet, so I was keen to see how they’d hold up against the pace and spin he was putting on the ball!

I’d tried Flavien’s setup with the harder BlueStar A1 earlier that day, so it was interesting switching to the softer Coppa E rubbers. Anyone here tried the Coppa E series yet?

So you played only with E2? I don't see in video where you change rubbers
Yeah, I used the E2 for around 90% of the video, but I did switch between all three rubbers during testing. The E3 felt very soft and was really nice to use away from the table, but overall I preferred the E2 especially on the backhand side, so ended up sticking with that for most of the session to keep up with Flav! 😄

Generally it would be good for many players to give it a second thought before following the pro way of increasing rubber hardness to deal with plastic balls.

For some reason though, there seems to be scepticism against such an attractively priced rubber - "it´s cheap, must be for beginners..." - to the extent that I´ve been trying to sell a brand new E1 at roughly half price for a friend who stopped playing and didn´t get round to testing it. If no-one buys it, I´ll try it myself. Would be the first Coppa after the short-lived Coppa Speed ;)

BITD I used Coppa as a Sriver alternative. I found it the only thing with such allround attacking qualities. Block, loop and counter hitting all excellent.
Is the new series similar? Lately I use Rakza 7 as a kind of modern equivalent. Comparable?
