To be honest, most local stores can't compete against ALi or Temu pricewise. I have not gone to Walmart for a while because I bought most of my stuff from Ali, even just a couple of scissors.
Same here, I buy just about everything from Aliex not only my TT-gear but also my socks , shorts and car wind- screen wipers etc etc. 🤣 ............and the government takes 15 % of everything.

He just said he travels and Europe is one of many continents he resides in, and those fees can affect how he pays for things. Is there something you're not understanding, or do you just like complaining in all the threads at this point?

If you have problem with my posts just ignore them

You didn't answer my question though lol From now on, you really need to think thoroughly of what you plan on saying because complaining all the time isn't helping anyone, it just shows you lack emotion intelligence. Hope this helps!

I've never ordered from AliExpress, but had interest just to see how the prices are. Is the estimated duties a new thing they started charging, or has it been around for some time?

it is different from country to country. In the case of NZ it has already been a while.
Before, small parcels with a declared value of (maybe) under NZ$ 100 were coming through customs without being charged any taxes. I think it was pressure from the local retailers that made the government realize that they are missing out of a lot of money. Alibaba is of course more than happy to collect the money and then (I assume) periodically pass it on .
