Shin Yubin and CXT are trending in a opposite trajectory. One is reaching her prime and the other is aging rapidly.
Shin has developed a power game, sweeping Han Yin showed that. CXT is slowing down and losing power, especially in her forehand visibly.

CXT should have retired couple of years ago so the other young girls could have more opportunities.

0 medals for the Chinese men would make an interesting podium finish shot. Would love to see Wang Hao's sour/constipated face too for thrills :)

Sora just needs a couple of more big event wins to add to his confidence and mental strength; he well be the number one guy for the team Japan.

Sora is one of the very few players in the world who possess the speed, the balanced technique, the consistency and the aggression.

Team Japan with Sora, Tomo and Togami can seriously challenge Chinese.

We may have entered multipolar world for men's table tennis with team China, Japan and France.

Lau Yiu Cho said before the match Jorgic's BH is arguably top 2 in the world, despite not being as quick as that of Felix.

MS QF
WCQ WR1 4-3 Jorgic WR16 (4, -9, -7, -9, 10, 6, 8)
Consistently late TO, this time by WH.

In terms of single-shot quality, Jorgic is definitely up there. Despite the extreme orientation of his game, his short game is actually decent, unlike Kreanga and Ovtcharov. You can tell he's not just brute force from his touch on the short FH. Right now, he has the same problem as with Harimoto - footwork. Because of his style, he doesn't really turn to use the FH much and that limits his options if the BH gets sealed off. So, if he doesn't read the game right, he'd get punished hard.

You have to give it to WCQ. He deserved to win.

But now we also know ripping those kinesiology tape off his main arm will unleash bankai.

Darko got two games off WCQ in USA when Felix got three. While I don't think Darko will win, I wouldn't go as far as to say Darko has no chance. I will say that while it is easy to feel confident about the results of a match, I have seen enough of top players to know that these are some of the hardest working guys in our business, and it is rare to have them just give up, they are always looking for new things to try. One thing for Darko is that he has a different style and his style has always dealt reasonably well with Chinese opposition since it is focused on forehand consistency and backhand overpowering.
How right you were 👏
