Okay, another health related issue, but turned to be a joke.
one of my players, didn't had time to eat....
though she loss the match, but she was "lucky drawn" to do urine test.

twice the test was not accepted as the urine was too light (soft).

so the ITTF anti doping staff forced (and supervised) her to each food and did another test afterwards.

I actually didn't know this was a side effect from missing meals, haha

LIN Shidong 's hook serve faulted ! Hiding the ball with his head !
As always...
3 matches 1 day?
3 matches 1 day?
that is nice

Alexis is special case, he is half injured.
so playing too much has injury risk - I assume you agree.
But who is the genius to enter and then pull out due to "over playing"..... if federation planned for this, this is unfair for other players who didn't go.
Planed walkover is not sportsmanship.

Let me end off with, complaining or not, does not make the ill treatment on players health right.
thank goodness you are not a player or one that give voice for players.
ITTF will love your support!

if you have played in such level, there is only 1 result and that is injury.
and as I said before, it has been going on for years (but worlds are every 2nd year) and with WTT, the whole business is making profit, for the sake of players health and if you are cool with that, then there is something wrong with you.

I am sure the scheduling and the stress put on the player with terrible organization, will be one major talking point by the new players union.
ITTF/WTT makes money, fans happy with the good action, and players are breaking down, giving up meals and making health sacrifices for little to no gains.
I agree with the "gains" point, indeed they're not paid enough and I'm glad the players themselves created what the tennis guys and gals did: creating their OWN union.

Yesterday I was watching a Benoit Paire interview, the french tennis guy is famous for being both a absolute genius and a total a**hole at the same time on court, sometimes he's leading easily the match, and then if the ball licks the line not in his favor, he completely reverses and breaks rackets, yells, shouts, it's a pain to watch. But he said that even entering his 35 he still loves the game, and more of it all, it's because it's paid enough "you get 12k dollars just by putting your feet on the court, why would you complain ? you travel everywhere, I don't know any pro tennis player who hates travelling, that would mean you could not play as a pro ! we have good facilities, nice hotels, what else ?"

I think the problem is here: as it's been stated by the UTTP, the WTT has a complete control over the facilities and the hotels that can be used or rent. Now that the no-show fine ugly system has been changed, there will be more recovery. With better facilities and hotels choices, and better prize money of course that's the point, it will change. Trust the UTTP process man.

another umpire-racket video

Hugo also had some problems with his racket after the tampering incident.
The Brazilians were discussing Hugo's racket, and Bruna actually went to investigate WCQ's racket first....

"its good now, so can we start please"

Then a video of Xiao Zhan asking control table what the heck

Umpire: it was there
XZ: How is it possible? I was 20 years as a player, 30 years as a coach, come on

this is where table tennis is just so unpredictable.

2 point (difference) games first two
then 11 point gap last one

Ok I agree there's a problem here.

On the other hand, we all know boosted rubbers behave like that, they tend to unstick from the blade's edge. Is boosting allowed ? as far as I know: no.
And it's WCQ ... the notorious racket whiner.

apparently Truls has an shoulder injury
Yeah it's been reported yesterday in the Sweden Herald. And Alexis said it was a strange match with both him feeling insecure at first with his hand and seeing Truls having difficulties with his shoulder. That's why the first game was like that, very tense, and then the Bros took over easily.

EDIT: my 2 cents: Truls deliberately let the Bros win to focus on the single match vs Kao. Because he does not seems THAT annoyed by his shoulder.

@Tony's Table Tennis
How do you think Lin Yen-Chun will perform tonight vs AJH? LYC has not been on my radar so far but I just saw a video of him on your YT channel playing in the Austrian Bundesliga. He gave me some Sora vibes
has potential, lacks international experience (very little WTTs)

Harimoto may not have a coach in his corner but if he wins, he better give credit to his female fans.
What did they tell him? It isn't working so far lol...
