This is not what they experts say. She beat easy to beat Chinese players not the very best. So she is just doing the minimum. Trust the experts.
The experts - Mizutani and Hirano Sayaka.

DHK beat SXY 3-2 in R32 and SYB 3-1 in QF (DHK 3W0L after that match) at ATTC 2024 to earn a WS bronze. Hirano came back from 2 games down and 5:10 in G4 to win 3-2 at WTT CT Taiyuan 2024. Nothing to write home about.

Happened to wake up and only watched G7 of LYJ vs Franziska. It was interesting that Franziska only served BH no-spin short to the FH (copying Ovtcharov) until he was trailing 2:8 and LYJ was serving pendulum side/back or dead long to the BH throughout G7

G7 1:2, 10:2 LYJ dealt with Franziska's serve pattern and won all the rallies, 10:4, 11:4

Lin Shidong looks unstoppable. Not sure if he will be 2013 Ma Long or 2015 Ma Long when he meets Felix or Hugo.
Poor analogy. WH was out of the picture by 2015 (retired in 2014).

Like WH said in a recent interview, it took the likes of them (WLQ, MLin, WH, ML) multiple tries to win the WTTC title.

Those who cannot do teach.
How are you sure of that? Matsuzaki Taisuke is an amateur himself and his expertise was in stats and tactics.

Kihara is indeed a double specialist (don't know if she likes that title but...)
Hayata was one herself. Ito and Hirano started making a splash in WD first as well.

But like I've touched on repeatedly, Kihara and Nagasaki, her partner at WTTC 2023, are the 1st most unfortunate.

I thought Shin Yubin was gonna take it to the decider. SYB up 10-6 in game 6, but lost 12-10. SYB had huge momentum in game 6, and I was left wondering what would happen with SYB with momentum going into G7. But this is HUGE progress for SYB who had only one 1 game total in 6 matches prior. It's a tough loss, but progress for SYB nonetheless.

Just point out what these experts have done that is similar to what Hayata has done in Singles.
If you put it that way, then no former JNT players of the past few decades should teach the current crop of top players as they haven't achieved anything of substantial significance, at which point, you have to take the bad with the good. Miyazaki may sound like a nutjob at times, but along with the management officials, they were behind the reform that produced the results you see today.

Wu Jingping didn't achieve much in his playing career and MLin (WJP got him to ditch LP and turn double-inverted) didn't trust him at first (later on with WH under his wing), yet he led them to 1 Olympic gold and 4 World Cup gold and 1 WTTC gold and 3 World Cup gold.

Same deal for Li Sun and he nurtured 3 grand slam players - WN, ZYN, and LXX.

Nah, she is a doubles specialist for losing to the world #1. The experts have spoken.

The surprise and confusion of Bobrow and the other commentator over AJH's TO are unfitting here. After winning 3 points from 7:10 was very likely to let AJH catch a breath and regroup, especially after the long point at 9:10.

Ishida did it at the Zennihon Takkyu 2020 when Hayata leveled the score from 6:8 to 8:8 in G5 against Ito and ultimately that game was crucial to her first win over Ito in the nationals.

Since Felix beat Oh Sang Eun's son in the previous round, Oh is doing everything he can to have An win this match, including calling a 10-10 timeout.
