What would be the correct meaning of the 'V' character -- latin alphabetic [vi:] or Roman numerals [faiv]
It all remains unsolved mystery to me so far.

Thanks.

Mark Scissors

The official site clarifies how the V is pronounced in Katakana, マーク V(ファイブ). It's the Roman numeral V.

Put ファイブ into google. It it says five for those who who don't appreciate misdirection as humor.

Actually back in the days (long time ago), I remember it was called "Mark Five". But in the past few years, I have heard younger players call it "Mark Vee" . It is currently not a popular rubber anymore, even for beginners.

Yasaka could've solved this issue by releasing Mark VI

On a side note, I'm befuddled by the number of players that pronounce Sriver as "shriver." Is it just easier for people to say it like that?
