So... Marty bloody Supreme... Just got back from the theatre...
It's mostly good, but the runtime just isn't justified. The editor was way to generous, that thing should have been cut down to two hours flat. Also, too much focus on Marty getting the funds and not enough on him actually preparing to defeat the Japanese penhold inverted rubber nemesis. The dog subplot should have been axed entirely.
Saw the movie. Didn't like it. Plot was disjointed and the romances weren't believable.
Romances? The protagonist has two love interests who are mere sexual objects to him and the rich famous one is basically just a mark he's scamming.
Best bit is him and the taxi driver hustling people at the bowling alley...
Nerd complaint: CGI ball physics kinda sucked, considering all the tech that's now available. A mid-tier video game developed in the Unreal engine has better physics than that.
Timothee Chalamet is absolutely brilliant, I believe his Oscar is half in the bag. It'll be him against Leo.
