Moon 12 was one of my favorite rubbers. I put it in Ziploc for a year or so and recently just tried putting it on again.

Its totally different from how i remember it. The rebound is lower, but the biggest thing is the throw angle is lower. Instead of rebounding high off the paddle, it kinda falls down into the net.

Anybody else experience this?
Ive never seen any other yinhe rubber do this.

Why would the sponge just die? I don't think i've ever seen this in other rubbers.

I think I had a 10 year old big dipper that was still very alive
that 10 year old big dipper is a miracle,
1 year RIP is very normal

Because the magic they put in it in the factory has worn off.
My AK47 sponge died in a few months, just got much less elastic all of a sudden. It dries, becomes brittle, and especially the red sponge curls inwards a lot.

For your Moon 12, did you leave the glue layer on while storing it?

Yes the glue layer was on, although some parts of the glue fell off.

I also tested my 3 year old ak47 red, and it still is excellent how i remember it
