My Top 10 best ALL+/OFF- (low intermediate) table tennis blades in 2026

Good point, I miss that. So, let's remove it from the list. Dr. NB blades are also not cheap and, in some way, niche equipment. So, probably not a good choice for the beginner's second blade.

Korbel 88.7g is slower than a Xiom Offensive S with 85.6g and has a deeper hold when hitting hard and more similar to a Xiom Fuga.
Persson Powerplay (PPP) measured similar to a Primorac but keep in mind that the core structure (3x ayous) of the PPP is the same as many/most 7-ply Clipper style blades and that the PPP has a thin paper foil (anti-vibration film) below the top ply combined with a smaller head size.
Blades like the Korbel and PPP can weigh anything from 80g to 100g, YEO usually around/over 90g. So base speed of these blades can be higher than some outer or inner carbon blades.

YEO 87g 1327 Hz (quite light for an YEO, second is 93g)
Hinotec Off- 85g 1313 Hz (there are also All+ and Off versions)
PPP 88g 1292 Hz (that is the light one from that time not my ~100g PPP I mostly used)
YSE 81g 1270 Hz (heavier ones are in the lower 1300 Hz)

Here the composition of TP Ligna CI OFF:

-1+7 plies: Spruce

- 2+6 plies: Ayous

- 3+5 plies: Carbon layer

- Center ply: Kiri

The TP Ligna is a bit lighter than the treiber CI: 85 g and 90 g.

We try as much as possible to have a constant weight, but you must understand that wood is a leaving material and can have a slight variation from 1 blade to another.

The TP Ligna is slightly faster than the treiber CI.

Definitely, but it's a very good all-wood racket. In my opinion, it's not the best they've ever made. I think that would be their Temper Tech ALL+.

nice to know guys, I usually don't work much with the andro brand overall except from our club beginner frames and rubbers so it's good to know more and if you have a direct contact with them I may pop you some questions in the future when needed, thanks! Every day you learn something new, that's why I love TT, you are never done with it

If it's especially for beginners, Yasaka makes some great introductory JPens. The Double Face II is a great one. And the newly released Ingress looks good.

For Avalox, definitely include the BT550, BT555 and my personal favourite the P500. The J-Tech, too! Really great quality blades I'd recommend over the big corporates.

Possibly include Darker, although they don't seem widely available now, like their 5P-2A series? And obviously the Korean brands Nexy (the founder Oscar does post on the forums) and TMount (Kim Taek-Soo's brand).

Edit: I just remembered Custom Table Tennis here do quite a varied line of blades. Interesting variation. Their top-selling one is an all-Hinoki variant. I don't have any reason to try them but they seem worthy of inclusion.

Thanks so much I will have a look into those! Have not tried any of them (only heard about avalox as a reference for other modern blades), so I'll do some research and add accordingly

Yeah, definitely those 3 Avalox blades (ΒΤ550, ΒΤ555, and P500) belong on a list that includes Primorac, Korbel, and Grubba All+. They are definitely classics in the same speed range.

If we are going up to blades in the Korbel-range in terms of speed, then you can't forget the plain Donic Waldner Senso V1 & V2 (the non-Carbon Senso with the yellow handle). It's speed is right between the Persson PowerAllround and the Persson Powerplay, and it's super controlled. A lot of developed Swedish juniors were using it that I saw while on a visit. You probably should also list the regular Donic Waldner Senso Carbon (not the "JO-Shape" version mind you, as that one plays noticeably faster and has a lower throw).

If we're listing blades that have been discontinued, but are still commonly found for sale or trade by forum members, you could include the Nittaku Runlox-5 (same as Avalox P500).

Yasaka Extra 3D ought to be on there (marginally faster than the Swedish Extra). The Yasaka 2040 is the same as a lighter P500 for people with smaller hands (i.e. smaller handle), and the Yasaka Sweden Guardian is a "P500 Oversize" for defense. All could be used adequately by developing players.

The Victas Koji Matsushita (not the Defensive, nor the Offensive, but the regular version) has an Oversized head, but it is a very thin Limba-Spruce-Ayous blade, and simply has one of the best feelings for a blade since the old Banda Walder (super controlled w/good speed reserves). Also, it's Hand-made in Japan, which some people go crazy for. A blade anyone could use to develop their game.
