I tried it briefly, it was faster and harder than H2, but the rubbers were different (Tibhar K2), so I can't say much. It was ok, nothing really special, but that's me. If budget allows, I would definitely prefer a H2 to a So-Ten, between H2 and Acoustic inner - it makes sense to try both before buying. If you can not try them, in my view a H2 is a safer bet. Acoustic Inner struck me as a more offensive racket requiring a certain level of technique to maintain shot stability, H2 also rewards solid technique mightily and is geared towards a good player, but is more forgiving. Bear in mind the weight, a an 90g+ H2 would be quite a weapon, mine is 85g and quite soft. Also, the H2 handle is quite thin, and it is more squarish compared to an old Acoustic. G-Rev handle, I guess, is closer to H2.
So within the range of nittaku blades, the upgrade from a regular acoustic would be h2 and not the acoustic inner?

that is somewhat strange. I wonder why the acoustic inner is faster than h2 with a 5.5mm thickness compared to 5.8 thickness of h2

also, from the feeling of impact (softness- hardness and dwell), h2 is closer to acoustic than the acoustic inner?

Here is Nittaku ranking ( and I mostly agree):
Also bear in mind differences between blades: I have two all-wood Acoustics atm, and one is definitely softer that the other.

I wonder where Viscaria would land in that scale. Seems like H2 and So-ten are the natural progression from all good acoustic.
My Viscaria ALC is harder, faster and with less dwell and feel compared to H2, different feel, different handle, different balance. It's a completely different blade. H2 is much more forgiving, softer and spinny. Viscaria strong point is its stability and predictability. If you have great technique, your game will be predictably consistently good, if your technique is dodgy, all your shots will be predictably bad.

Here in ttgearlabs graph you can see where Vis is in relation to inner fiber blades. I find this a bit more realistic given the weights of each blade. However they had an extremely light Acoustic Inner that was even slower than all-wood blades.

Has anyone played both the H2 and TMXI Pro and can give a detailed comparison?
How it plays on FH and BH, crispness, dwell. Which blade is faster in general, and which one is more linear / has more gears? Which one is more head heavy? Does the H2 have a fiber / metallic feel on any shots?

Currently using TMXi Pro and interested in the H2, mainly hoping it is a bit more user friendly than the quite bulky TMXi Pro

I feel like they shouldn't even test these outlier weight blades, it defeats the purpose.

The Nittaku blade matrix is not entirely correct. I have an Acoustic (88g), Acoustic Inner large handle (91g), and H2 (88g). The H2 is noticeably faster than the Inner. My main blade is an Acoustic, which I love and have used for many years. Every so often I try a carbon blade, but always end up going back to the Acoustic. My inner is slow, slower than the Acoustic and doesn't have much throw. It feels dead. It may be an outlier and not representative of the Acoustic Inner, but that is my experience.

Is it possible this is the reason Nittaku now has a special thicker version of the inner?

I'd been playing with an Acoustic for a long time, last 8 moths using the H2, and tried my friends' Acoustic Inner. To my experience, the Nittaku matrix is spot on.

Was the inner the same rubber setup as your Acoustic?

Also, how do you like the H2 compared the Acoustic? I have several Acoustics. Just got the latest G-revision, which I am using now. Been using the Acoustic for over a decade now, but have tried other blades along the way but keep going back to it. My inner could be an outlier, but what I have matches what TTgear is reporting.

Been going back and forth between the H2 and the Acoustic. I find that I get a bit more control with the Acoustic but really love the feel, vibration and sound of the H2.

I've had 3 Acoustics, they all feel differently. In my experience, H2 is a natural progression from an Acoustic. Similar short game and some reserves of power.

could you please compare the H2 handle to the acoustic G-revision handle?
All my 3 Acoustics are/were pre-G-revision, so I can only compare it to the older ones. H2 handle is rather similar to a regular old Acoustic, but is a bit wider at the end. The feel is not exactly same, but I can not pinpoint the difference, probably an Acoustic feels a bit more rounded and a H2 is a bit more squarish. They both are slim handles.

TT11 has the Hina Hayata H2 on sale for $155.75 (35% off) in case anyone has been eyeing this blade. I have one with the edge a bit banged so I'll use it as a backup (still plays great) and use the new one as primary.
Love this blade, now I think I go with the Nuzn 48 on it.
