My long standing motto: 'Don't give in to the Spin' comes to the foray. Playing in Tauranga in a club of players lower than my own level bread a need for me to develop a brutal killshot in my game, simply because the most basic of serves would set it up for me. Now it has become somewhat of a reputation of mine that I am in fact a slapper. Here is the indisputable evidence, my slap diary.

Hope you enjoy

lol yea that is actually Joo's shirt too believe it or not. To be completely honest the serves in these videos are not very good at all for the most part. I've only just take a real approach to keeping the ball lower over the net and tightening up more to suit the looping game as opposed to doing weird stuff with my elbows and serving floaty serves lol. At the end of the day it depends who I'm playing, the reason most of the players are defenders in the videos is because thats where I do most of my slapping. If I play a normal player I usually just play a normal looping game.

I see, that is really cool that he has Joo's shirt :O And yes weird arm movement before a serve help haha. Up to a certain level, after that they don't really care about it and just sweep the floor with my serve xD I should consider going back to slapping when I play defenders, I often don't play so well against them. I used to slap alot the first 3 years I played, but my trainers forced me to stop and start using spin :p. In the end I don't blame them, but an occasional slap every now and then is still good :D

I was advised to stop...lol I said no, I find nothing ends a point quite as efficiently as a slap, plus I got to the point where I could slap some long pushes sometimes if I really committed to it.

Haha yeah it is quite efficient, but at some point players started to return them or place better so that I couldn't slap anymore. Like low over the net, semi-long shots. But in the vid u also spin those, so that's good haha.
