Try placing the camera 1/3-1/2 meter or so above table height on the FH corner direction just outside the court.

That will give you a good view without the player in the way, since most players park themselves near the BH corner to get their FH into play.

If you're a righty and serve from the left corner, then one good place is the far right corner. The opposite works for a lefty. Another good place to place the camera is somewhat to the left or to the right of the umpire's seat, but be sure the viewing angle includes a couple of meters away from the table on each side.
