I've just received a sheet of Rxton 5 Pro today. Same as what tensorbackhand said, the sponge feel softer than what I imagined 41d would be, heck it's even softer than my (already boosted twice) Sanwei Pro Blue 40d. I'll try playing it without booster first to see how it performs this afternoon
Rxton 5 pro may in fact just be a boosted version of the same rxton 5.

They have some 1H-2T technology code that i dont understand.

Anybody know what this means? Like 2 layers of booster?

according to the chart u sent earlier on, I suspect the tension is the same tech they used on euro/jap rubber (streching the topsheet?) and the hyper is the boosting treatment of the sponge

Do you plan on boosting the R3 Pro? How bouncy is it unboosted? is it as bouncy as D09c?
I do not plan on boosting it.
I've never boosted before and I feel like this rubber is fast and soft enough for my liking not to boost it.

As for bounciness, can't compare to D09c as I have no experience with that. From my limited test I would say it's bouncier than the R3 blue and Pink and bouncier than most Chinese rubbers that I've recently tried, but not by huge margins.

First day impression of the Rxton 5 pro and some comparison with my boosted Sanwei Target Pro Blue
- Forehand block and drive feels quite solid, R5 pro provides nice vibration when blocking
- When doing forehand topspin, I feel like R5 pro doesn't require as much body engagement as pro blue. You can easily hit the ball with good spin and speed at low force, but putting more force I realized R5 pro has less dwell time than pro blue.
- During topspin to topspin practice, R5 pro gives a higher arc than Target and reminds me of R5. The second bounce is higher than Target and I don't see a pronounced "dipping" effect.
- Serve/receive and pushes were worse than Target, I often find my ball has less spin and drift longer. Same goes for brush action when looping against backspin. Probably because the rubber hasn't broken in yet.

In short, not really worth upgrading from R5, I'd still pick my Target Pro Blue over this but R5 pro is a bit cheaper and easier to play even without booster.

I Guess Dwell Time should improve when broken in, can you make a comparison with Target pro Blue unboosted if you remember the differences? R5pro price should be pretty close to normal Orange sponge R5.

I tried my friend's Target Pro blue 39d unboosted and I'd say it's literal hell lmao. Dead feeling, you get some spin but almost no speed, topsheet can't grab the ball well on brush loop. That's why when I purchased mine I decided to boost it right away before playing.

Thats a good experience base to Guess & make a More fair comparison between the rubbers to determine the value based on price/performance

and if it is, why would we bother paying more ? But more to the point why would Loki even bother with all the work and cost of designing, tooling up , printing new covers etc etc ?????
I am sure it is for the sole purpose of making us , the customers real happy 🤣🤣🤣

I finally got around to gluing up the Rxton 5 Pro, along with a regular Rxton 5.

I haven't tested playing with them yet. But just from bouncing them on the blade, they both seem to have similar amount of rebound. So if Pro is factory boosted or something, it seems minimum. I guess H3 Neo is also "boosted", but basically not.

Both my sheets are stamped as H41, but feel more like H39.

I will test both of these unboosted for a few sessions, and then try boosting them both.

After 5 hours practicing and playing with R5pro boosted, I'd say it's easier to play but has lower ceiling than my TPB. Its loxa sponge can bite the ball deeply and you get a clear feeling on topspin shots, at high power then it becomes somewhat "transparent" compare to the thick feeling I get when hitting with TPB. Its arc although higher, is shorter than TPB which I think is much more safer during open rallies but TPB allows for deadlier killshot.

Compare to when it's unboosted, I don't feel like R5pro changed too much beside an increase in feeling

Is the rebound low?

Just bouncing on the blade, the rebound for me is very very low, like the older H3 sheets. But maybe it becomes better when the tackiness wears off.

Just tried out yesterday morning. Very good in forehand loop, cut and chop block good as well. I'm not a smasher so cannot validate the smash. overall for me better than loki arthur china
WOW better than Arthur china thats interesting, in what aspects do you find it better? Tomorrow Will arrive my Loki package that contains Rxton 5 pro & Rxton 3 Pro

the tackiness wears off quick so you don't need to worry about that, it's not even as tacky as my Sanwei Pro Blue

Ok, after testing these 2 rubbers, rxton 5 and rxton 5 pro, the results are clear.

Firstly, these 2 rubbers are 99% the same. I doubt i would know the difference. However, the orange sponge felt slightly firmer and had more topend power and spin and kick. I preferred this one.

Overall, these 2 rubbers are like the older H3. Grip, tackiness, and spin are all very good. This is a good looping and counter looping rubber.

Rebound is like deadish, sluggish, unboosted rubbers. These probably would benefit greatly from booster. Much slower than the new H3 rubbers, and similar to the older H3 with more tackiness. I felt my shoulder feeling a bit sore from the extra effort needed.

I was planning on playing a week or two unboosted before testing booster on these. But after just 1 session, the results are clear. They are slow and deadish. I dont really see the point of playing them out unboosted. Maybe i will just go boost them tonight and test them again this week.
