Precious 175 pts added after Europe Top 16 2025. The last time she got this many points was back at ETTC 2022 and she ended up finishing the year at WR47. In terms of H2H, luck was on her side facing HY in SF (2W0L before losing this one) instead of Samara (2W4L, last 2 going to Winter but she was trailing 2-3 in the very last one at ETTC 2024 and 4 games ended in deuce).

It will be a tall order to finish top 50 at the end of 2025 (58 as of WK2 and WK3), seeing she had stayed within top 50 for only 3 weeks in 2024.

JPN players are the most spread out in that range (5th-43rd as of WK3) and they are arguably the best at playing special styles now.

It will take more than just skills and hard work. Perhaps the thing she will need the most is luck.

Winter played a very demotivated match with huge unforced errors. You can't win a match like that, of course.

In denial. Count how many times Winter twiddled to attack with her inverted rubber after G2, essentially turning back into a double-inverted player. Her anti was hard-countered by Yuna. If she was merely demotivated by unforced errors, she could've used that opportunity to work on her anti game.

Winter played a very demotivated match with huge unforced errors. You can't win a match like that, of course.

she had a 1st bundesliga league match,
it happens way more often than we know, but no one will be open about it (in terms of preserving energy for league matches.)
we already seen some losses in WTT for players to turn up fit for league matches in the past year. ie champions last year was clear (and even WTT staff knows about it, but it didn't break any rules)

this is so serious that Andro is in the process of introducing an anti rubber speced for Sabine.

so while some people are taking it as a joke, or belittling her, many official parties, are taking this with huge respect.

The spin reversal (or continuation) doesn't matter here. The spin direction works like inverted versus inverted. Her stroke is reinforcing the spin on the ball by digging the ball into the topsheet and sponge. That's not frictionless. Otherwise, there would be no point to adding that sideway brush.

An example from this Europe Top 16. Winter needs to find a way to make this disruptive shot (the lateral kick) at 6:7 of G1 happen more often. The one at 7:10 of G4 may not be ideal, but the disruption effect is worth pursuing.

ABS 3 frictionless is going to be forbidden soon. It is now getting an unanimous recognition within ITTF that too much randomness of the ball bounce shall eventually ruin the game . Again, too much randomness threatens to entirely change character of the sport, something like FunFair lottery a game of chance.

China is now working to persuade ittf into revision of the existing rubber limitations, that is reducing a minimum of Antie's friction to 0.30

doubt it will be a good glanti. ESN hasn't been able to make a good one yet. The anti they make are always non frictionless therefore no spin reversal.
