i'm not sure about Andro = esn
brands are free to pursue any manufacture to make for them.
ESN is only one of them

And Andro is taking this very serious. It is a matter about time it comes out.
sorry for the shortcut. It's not a secret that Andro, Donic, Joola... make their rubbers in Germany at the ESN factory. It's like 99% of their range. 1% stands for brand like Nittaku or Victas or even Stiga that have some rubbers made in Japan or in China. And ESN isn't reputed to be good at making glanti.
Wait and see ! I want them to suceed but I have big doubt atm at making one frictionless like the best one available right now. It will bring some fresh air in the market as they are only two good brands for glanti right now, Neubauer et DMS/Barna.

ABS antispin frictionless material is reportedly made by an Italian manufactory, rare bird will cost you a lot. 🐧

With 140 pts from China Smash 2024 expiring in Oct that could fling her out of top 50, Winter will need another strong performance in the second half of the year.

Germany is struggling... but they will be back.
August update

Winter (26) +14
Han Ying (30)
Wan Yuan (64)
Shan Xiaona (65)
Kuafmann (69) +30
Nina (77)

Winter and Han Ying are well within champions participation range, with Kaufmann's ranking finally catching up. She'll probably shoot up even further to reflect her real strength as she finds her way out of qualification hell. Wan Yuan is there as a good 4th player/doubles partner for Sabine, where they've shown promising results but aren't quite there yet. Wan Yuan is also a good failsafe in case anyone gets injured.

I don't think Shan Xiaona is sticking around for LA2028 and she probably knows that she's at her limit. Outside of a miracle it might be hard for Nina to come back as well. Three tournaments in 2025 all of which were first round exits. Unless another Kaufmann-esque star rises from German youth LA2028 will likely be between Winter, Han Ying, Kaufmann and Wan Yuan.

Thanks! Watching her match against Lutz at World Youth Championships 2024 I get the impression that her forehand attacks are pretty slow but still get the job done with accuracy and disruption. Her fundamentals seem better than Wan Yuan who plays a similar style.

For future reference. Mittelham managed to beat Winter in R64 (first round) of Singapore Smash 2025 and Wan Yuan in QF of ETTC 2024 while recovering from disc injury.

Hey everyone, I have some news for you.
For health reasons, I unfortunately have to cancel the World Championship.
I’m not yet sure when and how things will move forward exactly.
I will definitely do everything I can to get back in shape so that I can compete for Germany again.
For now, the focus is on my recovery and looking ahead.

Thanks to my family and friends, and everyone else for the love and support during this difficult time.

Germany Sets Sights on Success as They Head to Doha for World Championships
https://www.ettu.org/germany-sets-sights-on-success-as-they-head-to-doha-for-world-championships/
Despite the absence of injured Nina MITTELHAM, national coach Tamara BOROS believes in her five-player women’s squad: Sabine WINTER (WR: 45), Ying HAN (WR: 47), Xiaona SHAN (WR: 50), Yuan WAN (WR: 62), and Annett KAUFMANN (WR: 111).

MITTELHAM: My Goal for Linz is Simply to be Pain-Free
https://www.ettu.org/en-n-news-2024-october-mittelham-my-goal-for-linz-is-simply-to-be-pain-free/
After disc problems at the Olympic Games in Paris the Munich runner-up will compete in her first international tournament in three months.

“The most important thing for me is that I am pain-free ” Mittelham explains.

...

A painful disc injury halted your Olympic run. Now the European Championships will be your first international tournament since Paris. What has your recovery looked like and are you fully fit again?

“I wasn’t able to do anything for two weeks after Paris due to extreme pain. Even on holiday I spent most of the time just lying down. It got better after rehab and I’ve recovered well to this day. Currently I’m pain-free but I still need to be cautious with certain movements. Mentally I’m still thinking too much which prevents some things from becoming automatic again. But that’s okay. I’ve been back to training for about four weeks starting very slowly. I only began playing freely last week and had my first full session recently so my workload is still much lower than before the injury. But the key thing is that I’m pain-free.”

I am really sorry to let you know that I am unable to compete in the team event. The injury is too bad to compete and I still have pain in my back…
This decision was one of the toughest in my life so far, but I know it’s the right one and my health is more important than anything else… Emotionally I still need some time to recover.
So this Olympic Games ended in a different way than I was hoping or expecting. But that’s life sometimes.
Still, I will never forget this experience, competing in the Olympics with this unbelievable, extreme enthusiastic crowd was something that made me proud.
With this message I also want to thank all of you, for your support, your kind messages and the love i received. Thank you 🫶
I also want to wish my team a great performance tomorrow and good luck 🤞 I know you can do it. @xiaonashan @annett_kaufmann_tt @yuanwan_ @ttindeutschland

Last but not least I can tell you that I will give my best to recover fast. I am already looking forward to new challenges.
LA 2028 is coming faster than you think 🙏❤️

Nina is getting married. Not sure if she has recovered from her injury, but I doubt we will see her much in the near future because of the wedding.

married not pregnant 😆 she'll be a contender for sure if she comes back. it's not her fault germany lost bronze at WTTC 2024. But her longstanding injuries flaring up at the worst moments (and not being able to overcome them) does cast some doubt over her reliability

Yeah, tried to say that we probably won't see her on WTT in the remaining year. Bundesliga she barely played last season and focused on Champions League, but Berlin has also bought more players for this season. I imagine it will be a tough comeback.
