I really like picking up left over scraps from previous builds and make something out of them. It turned out to be a very eighties looking blade! But it's not something I will replicate in the future, so this will be a one time piece. Composition wise this is a inner fiber blade, with 90 g/m2 Textreme-Carbon placed at 90º, and soft outer plies. I was going for something with a good pace and light, more oriented for close to the table driving, rather than looping.

Available FS.

Composition: Kumamoto Hinoki / Balsa / TC90 / Kiri / TC90 / Balsa / Kumamoto Hinoki
Weight: 86.1g
Thickness: 6.7mm
Freq.: 1420Hz
Balance: 2.0cm (Very Low)

Great looking handle! Now I wonder what the scraps could be from….

Something really simple this time, just because I wanted to use this Etimoe wood for some time. The outer ply is medium hard and slightly thicker, while the inner plies are soft. The blade feels very linear and solid with medium feedback, so it will fit a harder hitter style. The handle is also made from Etimoe.

Composition: Etimoe / Ayous / Soft-Carbon / Kiri / Soft-Carbon / Ayous / Etimoe
Weight: 91.3g
Thickness: 6.3mm
Freq.: 1313Hz
Balance: 2.5cm (Low)

This one was already posted on another thread, but I thought I should post it here too.

This is such an interesting thread about trying different combinations as well as a great resource for anyone thinking about trying their hand at making something themselves.
The quality of the workmanship is just excellent, and you have done a great job with the photography as well.

How does that feel, the Hinoki with the Kevlar and the Spruce? That would be interesting to try. Also, how fast is it?

This is a blade with a usual inner fiber construction, but using a different type of Aramid-Carbon. Typically I use AC with both fibers running in both directions, as this gives a balance between their properties. With AxC we only have Aramid running in the horizontal direction, and Carbon running vertically. The goal is to achieve a softer touch, but higher stiffness when compared to my normal AC.

Available FS.

Composition: Limba / Ayous / AxC / Ayous / AxC / Ayous / Limba
Weight: 83.3g
Thickness: 5.8mm
Freq.: 1356Hz
Balance: 2.4cm (Low)
