This might be your best design yet (to me) that fir is absolutely beautiful#1069 - 5 ply - ALL+/OFF-
Not your usual 5 ply blade with a thick core and thinner outer plies. This one was originally designed as a defensive blade, with equal ply thickness made of White Fir (vertical) and Ayous (lateral). However, it came out too heavy with a larger head size, so I reduced it and it's much more manageable for an allround/offensive playstyle. White Fir is very similar to Spruce, stiff but soft, so the blade offers the same of springy/soft feel, without being too fast.

Nice blades as always, thanks for sharing!
Did you ever experiment with 2 different sides in a blade?
I have the idea to use Cork and balsa on one side and a rather classic composition on the other side like abachi, alc and koto.
I wonder if you have to different speed ratings for each side or is it just about the feeling of hard/ soft?
I made a blade with the hardest top ply I have (Amaranth) and the softest on the other side (zirbelkiefer, a very soft and light pine) and there was no difference in terms of speed...
I've made many asymmetric blades and yes, it is possible to achieve a speed difference.Nice blades as always, thanks for sharing!
