#1105 - Outer Aramid - OFF-

When I look at this blade, the work that comes to mind is "neutral". It's not very fast, nor very slow, it's not too hard, nor too soft, it's not too stiff or too flexible, it has some vibrations, but not too much. Even the handle design, it's not too complex, but not simple either. None of this is a bad thing, it's a blade that doesn't do anything spectacularly, but it's able to cover all aspects of the game competently.

- Framiré / Aramid / Limba / Kiri core
- 83.8g
- 5.75mm
- 157x150mm
- ST (100x23.0x29.2mm)
- Balance: 2.9cm (Low)

#1106 - Inner AC - All+/Off-

This blade has your typical inner fiber structure, although in this case I used a slightly thicker core and thinner outer plies. However, the real difference in this blade is the lamination process of the AC, I've tried to maximize the flexibility of the blade by doing some things differently. It's has a very soft feeling (for a composite blade), and a high flexibility too. As a consequence, the base speed is lower, and the top speed is there, but you'll need more effort to extract it. Overall, it's a friendly user blade to play with.

- Limba / Ayous / AC / Ayous core
- 88.7g
- 5.85mm
- 159x150mm
- ST (100x23.3x29.0mm)
- Balance: 3.6cm (Med/High)

#1108 - Outer GC - OFF-/OFF

Very similar to the blade I've posted before, but with glass-carbon instead of ALC. GC somewhat like ALC, but it's generally more muted and without the "broken" sound (which some people dislike). The Koto outer on this one is also a lot softer, so this blade feels very woody.

- Koto / GC / Ayous / Kiri core
- 86.2g
- 5.75mm
- 157x150mm
- STSQ (100x22.9-29.3mm)
- Balance: 2.7cm (Low)

#1087 - Inner ALC - OFF-

This blade has a similar structure to the Ovt. ALC, with a thick core and thinner outer plies, but I made it purposely slower. I wanted to keep some stiffness, but make it softer for a spin/control oriented playstyle. However, the main characteristic of this blade is the asymmetric handle, which is more rounded on the left side than on the right. This subtle difference enables a more scooped grip, it closes the angle on the Bh and opens on the Fh, for a right handed player. If you are a lefty it will have the opposite effect.

- Limba / Ayous / ALC / Ayous core
- 87.0g
- 6.2mm
- 157x150mm
- ST (100x23x28.8mm)
- Balance: 3.4cm (Med)

I did something similar to one of my Viscaria blades. Left the flare on one edge of the handle and sanded the other edge of the handle to straight. This was about 7 years ago. Then another club member asked me to do the same for his after trying my blade. Worked great. Fingers curled nice with the flare while the straight edge really helped reduce the discomfort of the flare on my palm because of the Viscaria somewhat short handle.

#1109 - Inner ZLC - OFF-/OFF

Many recent inner zlc blades feel stiff, hard and dry. This one is not like that, it has that "old school" feeling, soft, almost all-wood like. Consequently, it's not as fast as some of those blades, but my belief is that feeling is more important than speed, and the safety it offers is its biggest advantage. It's also on the heavy side, but only because it has a Rosewood handle that offers a low balance, so in the hand it will feel light and maneuverable.

- Limba / Ayous / ZLC / Ayous core
- 93.3g
- 6.0mm
- 157x150mm
- ST (100x23.7x29.2mm)
- Balance: 2.4cm (Low)

#1148 - Outer S-DC - OFF

This blade is the perfect example of how the lamination process is as important as the composite fiber itself. Normally I like to use "Super" Diolen-Carbon for defensive blades. I just call it super because the weaving pattern is similar to the "super" fibers, it has vertical carbon that provides stiffness, and horizontal Diolen which provides softness. Diolen is basically a plastic, and it's so soft that allows me to be more aggressive with the lamination process, while retaining a good feeling, something that doesn't happen with other fibers where the feeling gets too hard. As such, this blade has a distinct pedigree from other common outer fiber blades out there, the short game is very good, because the blade has low catapult at low speeds, but it comes alive when you start swinging hard. Due to it's rigidity, provided by the vertical carbon, the arc is medium low and long (although rubber dependent), but the feeling is still soft and catchy. The feeling is actually hard to describe, because it's very different than usual, it's soft but not like an all wood blade, but more synthetic, which makes sense given that Diolen is literally plastic. Personally I find it very pleasant. It's an excellent blade for blocking and Bh oriented players.

- Koto / S-DC / Ayous / Kiri core
- 89.6g
- 5.9mm
- 157x150mm
- FL (100x25.5-23.5mm)
- Balance: 2.7cm (Low)
