#1171 - Inner S-AC - OFF

Not very far from the usual inner fiber structure, but here I replaced the core for Kiri, mostly for weight savings. Kiri is less dense than Ayous, so it does not give as much kick on harder shots, for that reason inner fiber blades with Kiri core are not that common. The solution is either to use a thicker core, or a bit more help from the fiber, which is what I've done here, by using a denser Aramid-Carbon fabric. Overall, the blade retains a soft feeling and low catapult on passive shots, but has a crisp feeling when you hit hard. It pairs really well with harder rubbers. The handle is made from Bamboo.

Available FS.

- Limba / Ayous / S-AC / Kiri core
- 87.1g
- 5.9mm
- 157x150mm
- FL (100x24.9-24.0mm)
- Balance: 2.8cm (Low)

#1175 - 3+2 - ALL+

This is a blade that was meant for a customer, but believe or not, it turned out too heavy and too high balanced 😅. It's a stiff blade, especially considering the speed range, but it has a soft feel. Contrary to the blade I posted last, this one should pair well with softer rubbers, for a light and agile setup. The handle is full, but shorter than usual.

Available FS.

- Limba / Aramid / Kiri core
- 83.7g
- 5.7mm
- 157x150mm
- ST (97x23.2x28.8mm)
- Balance: 2.2cm (Low/Very Low)
- Condition: Refurbished

#1177 - Outer Aramid - OFF-/OFF

Based on a Hugo Hal, I'm not sure what density they are using for their composite on the original, but on this one I used a light Aramid fabric, so the blade retains a very woody feeling.

Avalable FS.

- Koto / Aramid / Limba / Kiri core
- 90.0g
- 5.9mm
- 157x150mm
- ST (100x29.3x23.7mm)
- Balance: 2.7cm (Low)

#1192 - Inner VC - OFF-/OFF

Typical inner composition, but using a new fabric: all black Vectran-Carbon. This VC fabric is very close to the blue/black stuff, just slightly stiffer because the weave pattern isn't exactly the same, so this blade plays like your usual inner force ALC.

Available FS.

- Limba / Ayous / Vectran-Carbon / Ayous core
- 91.4g
- 5.8mm
- 157x150mm
- ST (100x23.5x28.9mm)
- Balance: 3.4cm (Med)

#1159 - Outer VC - ALL+/OFF-

This blade is a perfect example, just because two blades have a similar structure, doesn't mean they will feel and perform the same, the building process is much more important! In this case, I wanted to make a soft Vis, but frankly I might have overdone it 😅. I didn't do anything special, I just used the most flexible glue at my disposal, but that has a drastic effect. I don't post the frequency anymore because I think it only confuses people, but this is a know composition so it does serve as reference. The 1290Hz for this one is way below the usual 1380-1440Hz for this composition, and it shows how much more flexible the blade is. However, stiffness is a part of the equation, and without it, the blade performs much differently. It basically feels like an all wood blade, but more linear and with less vibration. I think it will pair nicely with medium soft rubbers, which otherwise would be too bouncy on a regular Vis style blade.

By the way, I'm needed to change the terminology for the blue stuff because the big "B" is on my back, so I'm switching to Vectran-Carbon.

Available FS.

- Koto / VC / Ayous / Kiri core
- 85.6g
- 5.85mm
- 157x150mm
- ST (100x28.8x23.0mm)
- Balance: 3.0cm (Med)

Thick Oak outer layer for this one, which I never had used. Stiff, crisp and fast with a compact feeling.

- 85.4g
- 6.1mm
- 156x149mm
- ST (100x23.5x28.7mm)

Oak looks like such an interesting choice... I've always wondered how this pretty common wood would be on a blade.
Is there anything you can compare it to?
Oak is quite heavy, so it's not easy to use, even more nowadays when the demand is for lighter and lighter blades, due to heavier rubbers. The grain structure is similar to Koto, but it's heavier and harder. For example, in this blade the outer plies weigh more than the core and composite combined, so a lot of the mass is concentrated on the outer part of the composition, which is very unusual.

#1207 - 5 ply - ALL+/OFF-

Inspired by a blade I made for a customer, which in turn was inspired by the old Butterfly Powerdrive. However, that one uses an Ayous core, and yes, it's a relatively fast blade, but also quite heavy/head heavy. So, this is a more tamed version with Kiri core, slower, but also more controllable and lighter.

- Hinoki / Mahoghany / Kiri core
- 82.7g
- 6.4mm
- 157x150mm
- ST (100x23.7x28.3mm)
- Balance: 3.5cm (Med)

Beautiful and fun blade. But why not bright yellow, blue and red handle?:LOL:Such a wasted opportunity to make the sexiest blade ever...
Well, it's what the customer requested. However, I did make something like that, I already posted it a while ago 😁
