In my experience, if you play your H3N 39° unboosted, the Glayzer09C will feel like a slightly faster version of your previous rubber at any pace or distance, a little less spinnier, but a lot easier in terms of pace generation and forgiveness. If you play the H3N boosted, it's a different story. You'll probably be happier with a D09C or a Tibhar K3.I’d like to reply directly to this, since I’m considering “downgrading” from H3N 39°. I play it on the forehand of a Xiom Hugo HAL, with Tibhar Hybrid MK-FX on the backhand. I’ve used H3N for a long while now, and while it teaches you a lot, it’s quite demanding in a match, where you can’t always get into the ideal positions.
The options I’m considering are Glayzer 09C, Fastarc G1 (or possibly Tibhar Hybrid K3 or a Donic Bluegrip). Could you elaborate a bit on the differences between G1 and 09C, and have you tried any other similar rubbers? Ideally I’d keep as much of H3N’s basic character as possible but gain some forgiveness in match play.
G1 is a great departure from H3N. It has a very grippy topsheet, but imo since its more catered to the old ball, its topsheet grip still loses to the grip of Glayzer or D05 topsheet. G1 has a very high throw, so opening backspin is a breeze, but imo there is lesser ball feeling, a little muted, than the clear crisp sensation I get from spring sponge X. But G1 is indestructible, and regardless how long I've played with it or pulled it off countless times, it still works almost new. It holds on to its playing characteristics forever.
Glayzer09C is the answer if your used to unboosted H3N
Dignics09C or K3 is the answer if your used to boosted H3N
