The ball looks weird because the lefty player had just chopped the ball and the player in the red shirt was slapping the ball with little spin. The underspin from the chop is what carried it over the net and onto the table. Also when slapping in such an awkward way you're bound to get a knuckle ball every so often.

dont know .. cause if you slap on underspin there will be more speed ... image a chopper chops a really hard topspin. there is so much spin in it. and if you chop it back the ball might fly over the table
