South Korea’s players for Paris

I think he's a great selection for S. Korea, but I don't think that's accurate to say European players looked like amateurs next to him. Here's his losses to Europeans this year:

Filip Zeljko QR32 Contender Doha
Tomslav Pucar R64 Star Contender Goa
Qiu Dang R16 Singapore Smash
Alexander Cassin R32 Feeder Verazdin
Ovidiu Ionescu R32 Contender Zagreb
Yeah like the rest of the Koreans he needs to up his consistency against some europeans but honestly he has similar if not better results that JWJ

It really wasn't anything specific to nationality, it was just the original comment made it sound like the problem was Europeans, not the ranking of such players he faced at the feeder vs Cho Daesong's true strength. He is likely top 20, there is nothing surprising about him winning feeders which generally do not contain top 20 players. Just because the feeder was in Manchester and he faced Europeans who were not at his level given he is playing behind 3 top players in Korea on most days (Jang, Lim and An and even Cho Seungmin for a while who weirdly disappeared) is nothing special, when you look at his fuller body of work against similarly strong Europeans, you won't make it about continent with such statements.

Even JWJ losing to players like Lind or Franziska says nothing about the continent, it is all about the level the player is capable of on their best days and the playing style of Koreans with all out forehand making them susceptible to strong balanced players who can survive the forehand attacks and also making it harder on the days when the Koreans are tired.

This is all true but I am just stating the fact the the Korean team need to be more consistent in general, the Star Contender Ljblijuana and the contender lagos really highlighted this, with koreans either losing very early (except, funnily enough, CDS) and not winning the tournament like expected (*cough cough* SYB and LJH)
