Playing doubles is fun. But the fun is gone when someone insists it is your fault thus cost you a point in a friendly match.

1) Can you serve the ball and hit the middle white line?
2) Can you talk to your partner during the play?
3) Can you talk to your partner just before the play?

Thanks,,

You cannot talk once the point is on , but you can talk in between points. The rule is a little sketchy here when somebody grunts and a lot of players want that to be consistent grunts but in general other than grunt nobody can talk once the ball is in play
I agree with answers on 1 and 3 but really not sure about 2 as talking during play can distract opponents?

says Aged and infirm of purpose
1) Yes you can, but be aware that if the ball is within three inches of the line your opponents are likely to call "Wrong side !" or whatever the conventional phrase is in your neck of the woods. Well they are where I play, anyway.

2) If it's a friendly you MIGHT get away with this, so long as you confine youself to saying things like "Well left !" when he/she misses the ball.

3) Of course you can, what a bloody silly question !!

Generally speaking, if you avoid playing "friendly" games against win-at-all-costs opponents these questions don't arise.
