He is using Viscaria handles on unknown blade.
That blade is definitely not of the shelf Viscaria.

Looks like Lim Jonghoon switched from Super Viscaria to either a Boll ALC or Innerforce Layer ALC, cant really tell so far because WTT hasnt given great angles when he serves in the match against the Brazillians

Can only judge by the handle (since it could still be a custom made blade), but it actually looks like an Outerforce ALC.

Ooooooh thanks for the photo, yeah totally forgot about the outer force series. It very well could be custom made, because I highly doubt a pro like him would use a blade that’s designed for the intermediate market

Strangely enough, Fan Zhendong is playing with a red rubber on FH in his latest Bundesliga match, while his black rubber seems to be the usual H3BS. I can't quite tell if the FH rubber is D09C or Z03.

I wonder if he's just having fun playing with his normal racket twiddled, or is he seriously experimenting with new equipment?

I don't think he is trying out H3 on backhand. More like testing D09c on forehand while keeping fallback option open if it doesn't go well.

maybe he forgot to bring the booster so he couldn't play with unboosted H3 on FH

Hes the worlds best player. He can probably get anything he wants

seems logical, but why not make a harder black D09c ? and even without his personal H3, he can buy a 42D NT H3 on the market and can still get used to it fast.

I think he's just having fun in this match

Interesting idea. I don't think DHS pr CNT would like to go that route. What is the benefit to them as a business? If this is true, it would be a bad precedent for a player who can still compete even if they are trying to force his hand.

My theory is that since Franziska does this fairly often, they may have challenged Fan to do it or made Fan think about it.

I would say, time will tell.
My current bet would be, that he seems to have less trouble hitting decent shots with the Tibhar balls and table this way, than he has with H3 on fh.
And on bh the H3 doesnt seem to impact him that much.

i think fan needed a less demanding and sensitive rubber to adapt to the harder condition in german clubs like different tables, different floors, less time to practice and warm up. could imagine that he starts to play 09c on both sides just for the german league and switches back when he is back in china
