Nice match to watch. As you said he felt less dynamic compared to his first matches. However, Kojic should get a lot of credit, since he set the pace and removed a lot of speed that Chang might be used to.

It is really hard to adjust in the beginning, so I was suprised that he did so well in his first matches. In this matches you could feel he was not comfortable with the serve and the slow low spin.

Thanks for sharing.

Tough match, but I was impressed by Kojic when I saw him this year get pretty far at a WTT event. About the mindset, something similar happened to me too multiple times in the last season. We were leading and I thought if my team mates win their matches I don't have to play because playing in a six-person-team results in big breaks and sometimes I just don't want to if my first singles was tough or if I knew the second singles would be tough. Ultimately you have to try your best, don't let the score get in your head and help your team mates win.

Kojic had some good wins on WTT this year in deed. Like beating Feng Yi-Hsin.
he is 100-200 points rating higher than Chang, so Kojic on paper was the better, more experience and high rated player.
Chang played below par, so for Kojic, he did his team good. Chang will want to try and improve during the 2nd leg.

This is why league is so lovely, isn't it :)

2nd player off to Europe in a months and a bit time :)
we are busy with federation clearance. It should all be sorted by mid October.

Together with the 2, I have now 11 players lined up for 2nd half.
This is beating my expectation of 10 players around a month ago.

The 11 players include players from 2 other countries too. and I'm sure I could possible facilitate another 4 "strong" Asian countries too.

I was told I should do this full time.
it is actually very fun.
Hopefully one day, the clubs can gift me some free airplane ticket, so I can visit Europe again.
My last visit was 2016....

does anyone knows the players taking part in the challenger series?
what divisions / TTR rating are them?

It looks like nice prize money

here is the result for the latest event

here is another earlier one

I think it's an invite only tournament. They have a YT channel. TTR is put in the title. Liang Qiu plays 2. Bundesliga. Dennis Klein did too, but was promoted and hasn't played yet 1. Bundesliga this season.

So things has been a bit hectic with me and Germany while WTT Champions was ongoing - hence my little participation on TTD these few days.
This includes players (and coaches) taking part in Frankfurt having to answer many calls a day :p

Having 2 players in 1st half season secured, and will be playing in 2nd half too.
I currently am busy placing another 12 players into the second half of the league season (and possible 2 to 3 players short still).

This will range from Germany 1st to 5th divisions and Austria 1st upper to 1st lower divisions.
I also engaged with a couple of French clubs, but will talk formally more in the new year for the 2025-2026 season.

With deadline of registration due end of Nov for the German leagues. I think more clubs will come back with vacancies. I may soon be running out of players in the training hall, with half the 1st team now in Europe between Jan~April.

The size+capacity and level of leagues in Europe is actually amazing!

I need to thank a forum member I met on TTD who has helped me a great deal in getting to know the German league system and allowing me to navigate more clearly.

Keep it up! Question Tony, for 5th division that is the lowest division right? In terms of USATT what would that league translate to?

thank you.

I think if one was to count tiers, it is maybe more than 10 divisions.
national level (bundesliga) has 3 division
regional
then you have the local leagues and that varies a great deal. Some part a higher division might be weaker than some parts lower division

5th division, I am planning a 2400~2450 usatt level player for there

Dang so a national player in my country is only 5th division there. haha
maybe
but usatt for example, 2500 and 2450 is one big level difference, so usatt isn't very good or clear to measure things.

I have a player that is usatt2650 that I think is inflated, he is probably not strong enough for 2nd division,
maybe in 3rd or just below. As I know players in 3rd division that can beat this 2650 player.

it also depends which position you hold in the team, because there will be stronger players in the team and weaker ones too.
ie, position 1 and position 2 is normally higher, while 3 and 4 is lower.
1 and 2 will play against opponent 1 and 2,
3 and 4 the same with 3 and 4.
for example pos 1 could be usatt 2500, while position 4 could be 2350

From my side, we are aiming for position 1 only, since the club can only have 1 x overseas player, so most clubs will want to replace a pos 1 and not say pos 4.

That's right unfortunately I can't find any videos. The other Philippine National player who I believe is playing in germany as well is John Russel Misal.
doesn't make sense,
John has a higher TTR rating but playing in 5th division (pos no 2)
while Jann is lower rated than John but playing in 4th division (pos no 2)

John has won all his matches so far and Jann has won 4 loss 2.

they won't be streaming, you would need to ask them to record and upload

They are doing some TTR limit calculation as reserve player with John.
He is actually placed in the 6th division team, but can play as reserve for the 5th and 3rd division, due do his lower Q-TTR before the season. The club wants to promote their teams including the 6th division.

Don't ask me how they calculated it, but currently it makes no sense that he is able to play for the 6th division. He needs to at least move up into the 5th.

I have seen some clubs do this, sub up reserves, so reserve players in few divisions
very interesting system - as not many places allow it (unlimited subbing up)

Confusing isn't it? haha
John recently played in the challenger series in Germany, currently watching it. He made the Finals but still watching it to see if he won the whole thing. Don't want to spoil myself.
