my answer will probably just confuse by adding some options, but here is list of my favourite off- blade. I have no idea how Yasaka Sweden Extra plays, so those blades will have probably totally different feeling. No particular order, they are all just different with no better/worse:

1. Innerforce zlf (old one, but the new layer one is also fine)
2. OSP virtuoso off-
3. Moby 7 (but You need to love hinoki http://ww3.ping-pong.tw/product_info.php?products_id=5480&language=en)
4. Timo Boll Spark
5. My newest discovery keyshot alpha, but it is quite stiff and hard to find

Special mention:
6. Just ask SDC for a blade and it will be great :D

Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive (more like Off close to the table when >= 90g)
Cornilleau Hinotec Off- (hinoki, limba, ayous, limba, hinoki, nice blade if one likes hinoki)
Avalox P500 or BT555
Donic Persson Powerplay (somewhat between 5-ply blades and 7-ply blades, 5 wood + 2 layers of thin paper)
Xiom Fuga (same construction as the Avalox P500)

@UpSideDownCarl Thanks for the input. In the similar lines, when we say Innerforce ALC does that mean it
Butterfly Innerforce Layer ALC , or there other blades with the exact feeling and setup but with a different name which I may consider. As I am planning to buy from tabletennis11 along with my friend , he is going for different setup. But unfortunately tabletennis11 does not carry butterfly for my location.

So was hoping to explore if there are other blades similar to it but with a different name?
It might depend on which one and what the outer plies are. But the ones that are trying to be like the Butterfly Innerforce ALC should be somewhat similar in playing characteristics.

The ones that have Limba-Limba as the two plies outside of the ALC layer will play like an Off- blade on softer contact (short game and touch shots) affording the player a lot of control. On bigger shots and further from the table, they will play more like a solid Off blade because, with the bigger impact, the impact will reach the ALC layer. And with the touch shots the blade will feel a lot more like an all wood blade (but with a larger sweet spot).

Inner Fiber blades with a construction like this:
- - Limba-Limba-ALC-Ayous-ALC-Limba-Limba
- - Limba-Limba-ALC-Kiri-ALC-Limba-Limba
Should play really nicely.

If they are like this:
- - Limba-Spruce-ALC-Ayous-ALC-Spruce-Limba
- - Limba-Spruce-ALC-Kiri-ALC-Spruce-Limba
They will feel great but be more lively and faster on the softer touch shots and have a faster rebound.

But either version would work well.

Some of the guys on the forum will know good alternatives to Butterfly variants.

But if I was you, I would think about finding your regional Butterfly dealer and consider ordering exactly what you want from the source.

Why buy the blade from Butterfly: I don’t love Butterfly. I’m all for finding alternatives. But the reality, their blades have better build quality than other companies. It is harder to brake them. They last longer. I’m not sure why other companies don’t do the same things. But….the sturdiest, most durable blades I have come across….most of them are made by Butterfly. The only exception I can think of is my OSP Virtuoso+. And I am not sure if that is all OSP V+s. I had them make mine heavier than their standard (93g). And it is damn near indescribable. I have slammed it into the edge of a few tables and dented the table barely doing anything to the blade.

But most of the higher quality Butterfly blades are kind of like that too.

If there are other blade makers like that, I would be happy to hear. But butterfly does something when making their blades that makes most of them solid and sturdy.

I think Dignics (maybe not 09c) and Tenergy last longer than most other high performance rubbers as well. But I don’t think it is as important with rubbers as it is with a blade.

Happy I am still remembered
To be honest I just prefer to lurk. I was always here, just not visible :)
About inner blades, there is also
limba - ayous - zlc/alc/zlf/whatever - ayous build. Actually one of my favourite blades is from the moby 7 maker. In 2020 he made limba - ayous - zlf - ayous - alc - ayous - limba for me and the only thing I am lacking in that blade right now is 10-15% more power. Unfortunatelly he is not accepting custom orders anymore and SDC doesn't have zlf :(

Yeah. Hand made is always as good as it gets. But you usually do have to wait for the hand crafted blade maker to have time to make the blade.

And Limba-Ayous with ZLF sounds like it would be really nice. But I have never tried one made with that construction. I like to talk about things I have tried. :)

don't want to hijack this thread, so last message about this blade here. Actually he made blade with exactly the same construction few years later and listed it in shop, but he made it very 5,5mm and with big head so for defenders (https://www.ping-pong.tw/product/16094743309699081) . I bought it also and just asked for smaller head, but it is way slower than the one he made for me which was 5,9mm (and very light, so that's why I lack some power now, even though I thought it was a little fast when I got it)

DONIC Waldner Offensive JO Shape

Although it has offensive in its name, it is really Off-.
It has a Limba-Pine-Ayous-Pine-Limba construction.
I agree. It has really great control. It is not heavy and with small wings extremly controllable in switching from fh to bh and vice versa. I have karge hands anatomic handle fits very well. Straight handle for smaller/normal sized hands. No experience of flared. You can upgrade with time with faster rubber. With faster rubber you can easily play from mid-distance 2-4m. Yasaka ma lin extra offensive is faster but Waldner Offensive gives good power when smashing. I prefer to use Stiga Mantra Pro M or DNA Platinum S. Platinum is more demanding. Mantr Pro great fot brushing, looping and smashing. Not so sensitive to spin. Anyhow, it is all about racke and rubber combination and feel.

says STAX X9000 is the BEST!
Not tried many blades, especcially OFF-, but I like new Donic Anders Lind HexaCarbon blade, that I bought recently, very good control and spin, kinda gives "soft feeling" even with quite hard rubbers (using it with two Joola Dynaryz AGR max rubbers), maybe it's because it gives a lot of dwell time... So great blade IMO, especially for it's price.

@Crillo

  • Blade: Yasaka Sweden Extra
  • Backhand: Yasaka Mark V (1.8mm)
  • Forehand: DHS Hurricane 3 Neo (2.15mm)
Ok, this may sound wild but insted of a Innerforce ALC go for a DHS Hurricane Long 5, its a fast blade when you hit HARD but slow if you hit the ball with low impact. Great with your FH rubber!

If you keep the rubbers especially H3N than I would suggest to get a Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive or Avalox P500/Xiom Fuga. Going from YSE to YEO before switching to outer carbon was what I did a couple years back. Imo all-wood blades with spruce below the outer ply and a thick ayous core work better with H3(N). The YEO has the same feeling of holding the ball very long as the YSE. Weight >= 87g otherwise they feel "weak", less solid.

Innerforce ALC = limba, ayous, ALC, ayous, ALC, ayous, limba same as Hurricane Long 5 (PG5 if you want a cheap version of the HL5 for testing). Current Innerforce ALC is closer to HL5X https://ttgearlab.com/2024/03/15/performance-indices-db-inner-fiber-blades/
