I'm not a 5 ply wood guy, but my teammate/friend is.
He really likes andro timber 5 off.
My old teammate uses Tibhar Nimbus offensive.
These blades are quite thick with hard inner woods and soft outer veneers, quite a good combo if I say so myself.

We are all young adults (under 25) who play offensive with a lot of rotation and provide speed ourselfs.

I am not yet sure if I will keep the same rubber. I might change to Fastarc G1 on FH and Fastarc C1 on BH. For DHS Hurricane Long 5, I am not sure if I am that capable and trained to handle the OFF+ blade when jumping from an ALL Round blade .
I completely understand why you're concerned, but the Long 5 is 'allround' in the short game and has a lot of feeling. I would never recommend, for example, a Viscaria or certain Innerforce blades. A hard 7-ply is more difficult to play with, if you ask me. However, the Long 5 is quite expensive, and not everyone wants to spend that kind of money. Good luck and have fun!

I am not an young guy. I am already 41 year old and have played table tennis just for 4-5 years in all these years. Initial 1-2 year with a premade bat and after that custom paddle . Then COVID hit and it broke all the momentum I have had. So starting again from last few months.
Have a good restart. On Saturday, it's exact 4 yours ago, I restarted after 35 years.

Which table brand gives а speedy bounce,? What is a slow table in numbers
,? Dynamical tests is of utmost importance, manufacturers unwilling to unveil quantitive indexation of table, they looking to impose shitty pdoduct on customers, heh 😛
Dhs is a monger of crap, sorry.

As far as I know, all is related in the combination of table + ball. There should be a doc of a test out there in the web.
As I remember, more „shiny“ tables are faster and give a higher bounce. Cornilleau was one. I don’t remember the model.
