prott says if it was gold slam verison then he wouldnt have deleted the numbers on the box.

But yeah why would he delete the date aswell? ok name to protect the player but the date?
I just want to know which version I received the 400 470 or 720 right now it looks like its the 470$ and also just because of the box.
Because it wasnt entirely new. He let him glue the rubbers on the blade but the blade nevertheless looks unplayed and very new.

Nope Mine is from 2024 and has the red box and the lens with ML's signature.

This is just supposition and likely not the case - the box changed for all 968 blades to the black one as did the ML image in the lens. The removed numbers on the box are usually due to the fact that it is in fact a player version. If it was a golden slam he would not have any reason to remove the label information would he..

he cant prove it to me other than telling me that he wouldnt make it unreadable otherwise and that he is in this business for 15 years? and has no reason to scam anyone. He also says the one I got is faster and I would see the difference between grand slam and this one definetly. Its just that I dont have that version to compare only the Long 5. Any other blade I wouldn´t care as much I just hope my brother didn't get scammed for his money.
I will just have to trust him and hope that I can control this blade

So just for my understanding: What you say is that Zezima's blade is a Golden Slam W968 from a player of the CNT and PROTT made the details on the sticker unreadable to prevent tracing back?

But the blade itself shows the date and batch, correct? So what is the sense of making the sticker unreadable?

Like I said, anything beyond the official W968 is a matter of faith. There is no way for anyone to prove any special version is as special as advertised. That goes for any seller anywhere.

the way he said it its the original box otherwise he wouldnt have had to make the name and such unreadable if it was a normal golden slam box. Appearently they use this box for player version aswell nowadays.

Mine does not have the date removed - just player name. I choose to take that risk and I trust him a retailer - my experience with the blade backs that up, but I cannot prove it and neither can he as it is a non-official version.

If you choose to take the view that he trying to defraud you then why buy a player version that cannot be validated instead of a more standard version that is easy to validate? You chose to get rubbers glued - this is not a Pro TT issue and so you cannot blame him for a not new blade - any retailer will glue new rubbers on a new blade, it's a service.

I didn't do anything it was my brother. He probably just thought we can verify and see that difference.
We also translated that sticker under the box and it says "athlete" and the right side of it is unreadable. Anyway I checked his site and looked at the photos of grandslam and it back it up with what he told us by that he gets grandslam at a higher number 20-30+ and Ours is number 2

I hope it plays good. Kind of feel better now. Because at first I thought I got the 400$ version and payed 720$ for it

When in doubt, and when a non-stick sheet works, use non-stick

Can you take a close up photo of the letters in the player's name portion of the sticker and upload it?
I may be able to identify which player's blade it is from some of the letters.

If you really want, and you're not scared to damage the sticker, you could test if an alcohol wipe takes off the sticker's ink and if it doesn't, try it on the marker
