I'm not sure that H3 topsheet would work on a spring sponge.
I had a different experience with MX-P. It lasted a long time for me.
I remember there was a point where I used to wear out H3 topsheets within 3 weeks. 3 weeks of hitting and I would have worn a dead spot in the H3 topsheet. Over and over I did that.
I think it was because of how I contacted the ball. I don't think that would happen now. But sometimes the way you contact the ball causes a certain kind of rubber to wear faster.
I can use Tenergy for a long time. I can use MX-P for a long time. Tenergy lasts a little longer. But, for me, not much longer.
Truthfully, I'm not really sure MX-P's topsheet would work on the Tenergy sponge. I am pretty sure Tenergy's topsheet would not work well on the MX-P sponge.
The Tenergy sponge really helps you engage the topsheet. And to me, it feels like MX-P's topsheet grabs the ball harder than the Tenergy topsheet.
But Tenergy still gets a ton of spin.
My understanding is that the H3 topsheet works better on H3 sponge especially when it is well boosted. Bouncy sponge makes a tacky topsheet throw the ball at unpredictable angles.
But who wants to boost over and over? Not me.
