Whos your favourite player currently, and a why?

I've always admired Waldner and Wang Liqin. I think it was incredible how they dominated and changed the sport in their eras. While there have been some fantastic (and possibly/arguably better) players since I don't think any of them have had the same impact. For me I could watch these 2 all day especially their innovative shot-making.

This is a hard one. It is just Walder is awesome but right now Ma Long is my idol. So I am still deciding which one to choose...
If it was from the current player it would be between Ma Long and Zhang Jike and would go with Ma Long...
If it was from the old player it would be between JO Waldner and Kong Linghui(who I don´t see in the list) and would go with Waldner..

Funny. That is just what I was thinking when I saw the poll just now.

I was also interested to see that not too many people chose Wang Liqin even though he is really one of the best ever. And it is true, Kong Linghui deserves to be up there he is beautiful to watch.

I like watching a lot of the current players a lot. I love watching Zhang Jike, Ma Long, Wang Liqin, Wang Hao, Xu Xin, Fang Bo, Timo Boll, Michael Maze, Ryu Seung Min, Joo Se Hyuk, Jun Mizutani. But there is nobody I like to watch as much as Waldner. Very graceful.

I absolutely love to see Ma Long and Xu Xin play, because of their athleticism, dynamic play and unbelievably high difficulty shots that they make on a regular basis. For past matches, I love seeing Waldner and Kong Linghui, Waldner because of his tactics, spectacular touch, and his deceptive service and 3rd ball attack, Kong Linghui because of his clean, efficient and effortless technique.

timo boll- love those slow spinny loops and those high arc counterloops, his shots are sure loaded with a lot of spin, its my type of game, good behavior on court real sportsman

ma long- his game is 100 percent pure undiluted offense, he can loop and counterloop balls from anywhere and everywhere over, away and even under the table, his technique is so smooth and clean, loops from both wings are executed beautifully, he's a machine the technique is just flawless, and i read one interview of the CNT, they all agree that both WLQ and Ma long are humble

yessssssss song hongyuan is one of my favorites. he made it to the top level even with a huge hole in his game (subpar backhand), and is one of the few chinese players with an apparently nice personality and attitude from videos i've seen. Lin as well
