Larger measuring of a racket head provides a bigger sweet spot, offering more power and forgiveness on off-center hits, which is beneficial for beginners and players developing their technique. However, larger heads can sometimes sacrifice control and maneuverability, particularly for advanced players who prefer a smaller head size for precision and feel.

probably also related to the 40+ trend switch ... harder and stickier rubber, bigger blade = more powahh and more spin
plus the trend comes with feedback from its pro and semi pro players and the Korean market is huge in terms of amateur to semi pro.

Xiom is very "active" in its product engineering - especially in blades.
you will be shocked how some brands - does close to zero R&D in its blades and there are a handful of companies that to me fit this group.

Like Cybershapes, popular DHS-blades and a couple of relatively new Butterflies. It's a trend.

We bitter old men with large hands and sore elbows have nowhere to go...
The ALX Lite seems fine though. As long as its not light because of abnormally hollow handle.
