Patrick throws the ball away to get a new one because it was wet, umpire complains.

Patrick: "The ball was wet"
Umpire: "Show me the ball first"

Next she will tell him when he is allowed to breathe.

with the whole multi ball thing,
what is umpire even doing....
the whole purpose is the players can change balls when ever and there is no "warm up" again

Yeah, I don't get either. Some players believe it's bad luck to play with a ball they lost the previous point with so they get a new one and that's cool, but replacing a wet ball while even saying it's wet is not?

feels just like power hungry umpires
changing the ball is not illegal during multiball play

old days, with the 40+ (since its long ago, haha) when we edge the ball, we will ask umpire for ball change (single ball).
most umpires will agree, but you do get those smart ones who say no, play on,
and guess what, the ball is indeed broken.
Some players will then check and actually brake the ball and tell the umpire it broke from the edge shot.
Some times, I do think common sense must prevail should be added into the umpires manual.

Kanak recently beat Franziska in Bundesliga as well.
Franziska and Jorgic. And lost to the big boss at the Olympics so no shame in that. But people looking at Cho will just say he lost in the Round of 64 to an American and end it with that.

Cho Daeseong's performance this tournament makes Kanak's Olympics run look even better
Paris 2024 is the first time Europeans have done better than East Asians since Barcelona 1992 for MS and Beijing 2008 for MT. For Americans, this is their best edition in history - 4th for Calderano and R16 for Jha, with both losing to the eventual silver and gold medalists, respectively.

p.s. Paris 2024 is also the more difficult Olympics, with a field that is more balanced and stronger overall.

Looks like Miyuu Kihara has switched to DHS equipment? The blade is some DHS model and I'm 99% sure the forehand rubber is H3 BS. She has beaten Batra and Diaz 3-0 both matches, not bad!

Tbh, although he lost, Harimoto's reverse pendulum ties in so well with the rest of his game - he should really start using it more to make his game richer in variation. I think he won almost all the points when he used his reverse pendulum.

Roughly the same odds as the men, that is, higher than usual. WTT CS Macao (2022-2024) is slowly but surely becoming a hotbed of upsets.
