Tieba users have talked plenty. See for yourself.

(LGY loses 1-3 to Germany's Duda in the first round of the WTT CS in France. What do you think?)

(First round exit for LGY)

(I'm not being sarcastic, LGY really should retire)

(Rational discussion: Should the No. 4 and No. 5 players of the men's and women's teams be packed up and taken away?)
https://tieba.baidu.com/p/9235474970
any other countries users talking about it
or is it only tieba users that want to retire and resign everyone?

any one told them to get a racket and come try out?

Most Japanese comments are quite reserved and optimistic about Togami's future but there are the odd ones that cut to the chase and point out the problems.

The timing of TOs in Japan's bench is always too late
I've never seen it done successfully, so I hope they learn from it soon

You can't win just by hitting the ball as hard as you can. It may look like a miss, but it's not the same. Chinese players always change the amount of spin, timing, and trajectory of the ball.

The Japanese men need to work hard, otherwise no one other than Harimoto will improve
This dude also misses a lot...
Had a big lead in the 2nd game, but was overtaken
All misses had the same pattern
Watching Harimoto vs Anton, his forehand although improved still look strained and awkward, but there's a certain threat to it. While Togami dishes out attacks on both wings none other JPN men can but you still don't feel like he has the upper hand on the opponent. Harimoto is like a skilled swordman with a less sharp sword while Togami has the top notch weapon but isn't a skilled one

Come on, that was just a good match. Kallberg shed his title for a while now.
I'm not so sure.

If you meant Paris 2024, well, Kallberg would've lost in straight games had Harimoto not suffered from leg cramps, just like how JWJ would've lost in straight games at Asian Games 2022. The consensus over at Tieba is that had either Togami or Shinozuka been useful for once, JPN would've gotten the silver medal at a minimum and Kallberg wouldn't even have had the chance to play the last singles match. And then at ETTC 2024, Kallberg lost to Moregard for the first time in 3 international encounters, and the most important one thus far.

A similar situation occurred in badminton at Paris 2024. He Bingjiao ended up with a silver medal after Marin was up but had to forfeit during the SF match due to a broken knee (which has bothered her for a long while). But despite Marin's notoriety for her on-court behavior, He Bingjiao held up a Spain pin next to the silver medal as a gesture during the award ceremony. I wish something like that had happened for table tennis.

Such a beautiful gesture from He Bingjiao, A true champion on and off the court!❤️

The striking difference between the two is that Harimoto is walking the talk (1, 2) while Togami is still talking the walk (1, 2) and the same for Matsushima. The results say it all. Tieba users have been discussing how Harimoto is already halfway and way ahead of WCQ and LSD in achieving the Golden Slam (4/8 domestic/continental/world titles).

CXT's spin reading ability is really poor for a core CNT player. Maybe that's why she has so much trouble playing combination players and those inverted players with deceiving/unfamiliar serves. Another thing is the damage on her game from playing the role of imitating player/sparring partner over the years is made abundantly clear here. Without proper preparation beforehand, she has a lot of trouble adapting her skills on-the-fly.

Not unless Alexis self-destructs or Moregard finds a way to make him do that.
