Good win for Yokoi and good loss for Hina. She refused to back off the table and start lobbing, it is the kind of loss she needs to get better.

Happy for Yokoi. LA2028 is looking more likely Hina won’t be there. Losing 2 games against SYS and WMY and now losing against lower ranked Yokoi.

From a practical standpoint, the main thing is to be within the top 4 (entry limit for WTT Champions) by the end of the year. But it is a hit to her confidence losing to Akae and now Yokoi. The focus now shifts from the favorites to the underdogs.

Watching the highlights, bith Tintin and Connor have extremely strong backhand flicks and this means that any loose short return is not safe and even tight ones are attacksble. Opponents have not figured out how to restrain the dynamic backhands of both players. Their superpower is definitely short game and point setups.

He is a human being. Everyone loses. Not like he lost to a scrub either, I watched the match and he just couldn't get over the hump at critical points and Manav didn't donate points.

Losing 3-0 repeatedly for a player that was once in the top 10/15 to players not in the top 10/15 is a massive problem. You make it sound like he didnt loae to Luka 0-3 the last time he played. If Peng loses 2-3, I would call it a tough loss. 0-3, I don"t know.

Losing 1-3 to the Indian #1 who practices with the Lebruns sometimes a few days after wining a title and losing the 4th game at deuce after being down 2-1, 10-7 and then losing the last point pushing a net ball long is a very different dynamic. Jorgic is very fine. He exchanged pleasantries with Manav after the match.
